Eren's POV:

I woke up in the bathroom. It seemed like Annie dragged me in here because it was only her and two other people who I had never seen before. But my vision was too blurry to focus.

"Memory too powerful for you?" It was a boy. I couldn't match it to anyone from my memories since it was still a premature voice. But yes, it was.

"I ate my dad." Was the first thing that came out of my mouth.

"And you were the Founding Titan." Annie said.

I finally sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"Why did you guys take me to the bathroom instead of getting an adult?"

"Did you not hear me?" Annie scoffed. "The Reiss's don't like you. How are we supposed to tell them that Eren Jaeger passed out from finding out his dad ate their family?"

"Great point." Another voice said.

I was able to fully open my eyes with a few quick blinks.

No way.

"Reiner," I stared dumbfounded at the kid dressed as Mermaid Man and then looked at the person next to him dressed as Barnacle Boy, "Bertolt."

"That's us, Eren." Reiner said, who matched the first unknown voice I had heard.

"How much do you guys remember?"

"Till the very end of the War on Paradis."

"How?"

"Because we knew reincarnation was real. They taught us this in Marley." Bertolt spoke. "They told us that if we ever feel a connection from a past life, the way to trigger all your memories if you were a shifter is by doing what you would do to actually become a Titan."

"That's it?" They all nodded. "So how did I do it?" They all seemed hesitant to answer. "Do you not want me to remember everything?" Still hesitant. "I'll take that as a no."

"I think it's best for you to keep getting memories the way you are now." Reiner said. "We remember life in that time. You should wait yours out."

"Any reason?"

"Many." Annie sounded strict.

I had so many questions. Does this connect to why my dad seemed afraid of me? Does it have to do with him killing Historia's family? Is the Founding Titan super scary or something?

"Jaeger, I don't like you. I don't trust you. I protect you because those are my orders and I want to keep everyone alive." He uncrossed his arms and approached me. "Obsession isn't the word. It's caution. I'm waiting for the day when you reveal to all of us who the real enemy is. You. So I'll ask you again, why do you have a weird obsession with me?"

The memory of Levi came back into my head. Was I one of the bad guys? I must've been...

"I was a bad guy, wasn't I." I sighed, getting off the ground.

"Yes." Bertolt said.

"No," Reiner shook his head. "Bertolt unfortunately had his time cut short so he wasn't there for everything like me and Annie were."

"So I wasn't a bad guy?"

Reiner sighed. "You cared about your friends and you would've done anything to protect them. That's it."

Well that doesn't sound bad at all. It made me feel better actually.

"You said Mikasa remembers things?" Annie asked and then I nodded. "Do you know how much she remembers?"

"Just as much as I do, except she remembers her stuff and I remember mine obviously." They looked at each other and they seemed to think I was lying.

"I'll be right back." Annie said and left the bathroom.

Is Mikasa hiding something or are they just crazy?
