Eren's POV:

It was the next day of school and my first priority was to apologize to Armin. Mikasa and I figured out a way to tell him what's going on. It was almost like lunch couldn't come any faster. But when it eventually did, Armin was nowhere to be seen.

"What do we do?" I asked Mikasa. She would probably have a better answer than me.

"Recess."

So that's what we did. We waited until recess came around. He found him sitting on the swing set alone and we both sat in the ones next to his.

"Armin, listen." I started off. "We can explain."

"No, I get it." He sighed, lightly swinging back and forth with his feet still able to touch the ground. "You realized I'm not cool and you don't wanna be my friend anymore."

"No, Armin." Mikasa shook her head. "In fact, it's the complete opposite. We're going to be best friends. You, me, and Eren."

"Really?" He seemed to be a little more hopeful.

"So because we're now best friends, we'll tell you about what was happening."

"Okay." He nods.

"Basically we've been reincarnated thousands of years later and we remember weird things but it's just me, Mikasa, and my dad."

"Huh?" He didn't believe me. I mean, how could you believe someone who just said that?

"We're not lying, Armin." Mikasa defended me. "Me and Eren's drawings were actually memories we had in that other life."

"When you came into my backyard and saw me swinging with my swords, that was me acting out something I had seen in those memories."

Armin stopped swinging all together and all hope seemed to be lost. "So you thought making up some weird story was the best thing you could come up with? That's what you planned on doing to stop being my friend?" God, this is getting worse.

"No!" Mikasa and I exclaimed simultaneously.

"How could I possibly believe this?"

"Armin, you can even ask my dad. We mean it. We're going to be best friends for life starting now. We will never lie to you. We will always have your back no matter what."

"Promise?"

"We promise." Mikasa nodded. Armin finally nodded and we all started to swing in unison together. It was the same happy feeling from when we had our play date at my house yesterday.

These really are my best friends. Even after over 1,000 years.

I wonder what else I'm going to remember in the future? Should I be excited? Should I be afraid?

We'll find out soon...
