Eren's POV:

Although I was happy to see him, I couldn't shake that awful feeling away. I've just continued to remind myself that this is to keep him safe. Maybe if Kenny never got me and Reiner alone, he wouldn't even of given me the chance to protect Levi. What if he had just eventually gone up to him?

I had Levi laying on top of me in his bed. His head was pressed against my chest and he started to trace my small tattoo.

"How was the gym without me yesterday?" He asked.

"It actually wasn't bad. Reiner and I got a few swings in at each other."

"Did you win?"

"Leg sweep knocked him on his ass."

"Eren, you're doing it wrong." I kept trying to sweep my leg across Levi's ankles but he wouldn't budge. This is embarrassing.

"How?!" My frustration was about to take over.

"Like this, you brat." Captain Levi swung in for a punch but it was just a fake. I got distracted. He dropped down and swept my leg perfectly, knocking me on the grass.

"Why do I suck at this?" I whined. Levi reached his hand out to pull me up. Once I had leaned towards him, I quickly pulled him on top of me, making him lose his balance. "Hey." I smiled.

"You're still not done." He was in no mood for games. But him still laying on top of me said otherwise.

"Yes, I am." I kissed his jawline in the spot that makes him grow weak. He gripped the ground beneath me. But then he tugged on the grass and dropped it all in my face. "Oh come on, Levi!" I wiped the dirt off my face and spit it out. He got up off me without lending me a hand this time. I stood up as well, wiping off my clothes.

"Do it again." My amusement was officially out the window as I mimicked what he had knocked me down with before. I got in my stance, attempted a side swing, which he dodged. But I was quick to drop down and slide my leg across his feet, knocking him over. Getting a little ahead of myself, I put my foot on his chest. "Get it off or I will break it."

"You wouldn't." He grabbed my foot and from the ground, threw me forward as I face planted.

"Do that again and you might find out."

I rolled on my back and smiled at his face of disgust as he straightened himself over. I stood up quickly. Before he could have a reaction, I held the sides of his face and kissed him deeply in which he immediately returned.

"My apologies, Captain." I pulled away and smiled.

"Brat," he scoffed before placing his lips back on mine.

"I remember I got so pissed at you that day. When I was trying to teach you the move."

"Oh come on, I got it eventually." I kissed the top of Levi's head, earning a small squeeze from him around my back. I wrapped both arms around him and smiled. Although he's almost back to the physical build he once was, he will still always be smaller than me. "Put your glasses on."

"No." He was fast and stern with his response. He can try all he wants but that intimidation game doesn't work on me.

"Please," I begged.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because they look stupid."

I gasped and leaned over to the drawer of his nightstand and took out the black case. I opened it to reveal small black rimmed glasses meant to fit his tiny head.

"Fine." He snatched them from me and sat up as I put the case away and watched him put them on. Gorgeous is an understatement statement at this point. I just looked at him with pure admiration. "Happy now?" He went to take then off bit I reached up to keep his hand still.

"Keep them on."

"No."

"I think you look nice." He looked more than nice, that's for sure. "I think you look stunning." I smiled.

"Jesus Christ, Jaeger. They're just glasses."

"But you're you. You're beautiful to me no matter what you do." I sat up and leaned against the headboard rather than the pillow.

"You call me that too much." I've said it before, he can act all tough but the redness of his cheeks don't lie. He loves getting complimented.

"But I mean it every time."
