Eren's POV:
"Dude, this sucks." Connie and I had my mom drop us off at the mall. I thought I was due for new clothes. I grew another inch so my pants are a little shorter than I'd like.
"Connie, I swear to god, if you don't tell Sasha, I will. Stop complaining."
"I was a little bitch then and I'm a little bitch now. With my luck, if I don't get a grip soon, she'll die-"
"Connie!" I grumbled. He was quiet. He knew what he said was extremely out of line. Especially knowing what happens to Sasha. Sasha doesn't have as much of an interest in all this so she didn't feel the need to read. Connie, on the other hand, has read whatever he can to see if him and Sasha ended up together. It was only for him to find out that she was killed and he died alone.
I felt a slight buzz coming from my phone.
Historia - I'm having a party tonight for my bday, parents took a trip to the casino for the night
"Party at Historia's."
"Really?"
"No, I just made that up." I squinted my eyes and shook my head. Idiot.
Eren - What time?
Historia - 9
Historia - Everyone's invited
Eren - See you then
"Tonight." I said.
"Tonight is the party?"
"Yes but that's not what I mean. You're telling Sasha tonight. I don't care how you do it, but you're going to do it."
"Okay." He nods. "I can do this. I can do this."
"You will do it."
"I will do it."
"So then you and Sasha can live happily ever after."
"Right."
That got him hyped up, which makes me happy. Her death took the biggest toll on him. When she died, I was so overwhelmed and just felt lost. It was my fault. I made them come to Liberio. If I didn't, Sasha would've lived. I realized in that moment that there was no going back. It was an irredeemable event and I would've never been forgiven. Hope was lost in my heart for the friendships I had.
"You should buy her something."
"Like what?"
"I don't know," I shrugged, "I feel like you always get her food, have you gotten her anything else?"
"Trust me, I know that's a way to her heart. I'll stick to food. Just what and where is the question."
I looked around the food court and was absolutely shocked to see someone I genuinely didn't expect to see any time soon.
"We need to leave." All I could manage was a whisper. "Now." My heart was pounding out of my chest. I couldn't move.
"Eren, are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost."
He finally looked at me. He had the same expression as I did. Gut wrenching fear. But he wasn't paralyzed like I was as he walked up to me. Why can't I fucking move?
"Eren!" He called out.
"You know that guy?" Connie was completely lost.
"Yeah," I nodded.
He came in front of us with his arms crossed. He pushed his glasses up further and rested his arm back to its original position.
"I know you have something to do with this." He said. "Why?"
