Eren's POV:

I had to go back to school. I feel like I've missed so much and it's only November. I'm not sure how I haven't been kicked off the team yet; maybe it's because I'm the star player apparently. Tonight was yet another game. We had 2 left which I was grateful for. I know basketball season is right after football but I don't even know if I'm capable of dedicating more time to school.

"How're you holding up?" Reiner asked me in the locker room. I was just sitting on the bench with my helmet in my gloved hand, covered in sweat. We were losing 21-7.

"Well we're losing so not great." I knew what he meant but I wasn't in the mood to talk about it. Especially now of all times.

"You know what I'm talking about."

"And I'm choosing to ignore it." I stood up and out my helmet back on.

"Eren, you know I'm here for you."

I punched the locker in a burst of rage. "Will you shut the fuck up, Reiner?" I shouted. He sighed and put his head down, making me feel bad immediately. "I'm sorry," I said quietly, "I know."

"It's okay. I think he's going to be okay. He's Levi for fucks sake, he's too stubborn to die. I just...I don't want to lose another one." Bertolt took the biggest toll on Reiner of course. It was his best friend after all.

"He's right," Jean chimed in then took a sip from his water bottle. "Levi really is too damn stubborn to die. Honestly, if anyone knows that, it would be Hange. But she doesn't have her memory back."

"Actually," I smirked, "she does now."

"Wait, really?" They were both shocked. "When?"

"When we were in the hospital."

"How did she take it?" Reiner asked.

"She didn't really react at all honestly. She's probably been preparing for that moment for a long time."

The coach came into the locker room and told us it was time to run back out. Two quarters left and I can go home. I couldn't see Levi today because I've been at the school all day so that's why I've so off. I've visited him once a day. I go immediately after practice. There haven't been any signs of progress but he's stable at least.

I was walking back out until I saw a player from the other team on our side of the bleachers. He wasn't wearing pads or anything so he must've been JV. Must have a friend from our school.

"Jaeger!" He shouted. I have absolutely no idea who this kid is. But I ran on the field, standing on the sidelines and not paying anymore attention to him. "Yo, Eren!" He shouted. How the fuck does he know me? I ran back over to him, hoping he would stop.

"Yeah?" I didn't want to be too rude.

"I heard about your boyfriend, just wanna say I'm sorry."

"What did you hear exactly?" I couldn't imagine how anyone even knew besides friends and I know they wouldn't say a word.

"Well, that he killed himself...because you cheated on him...at least that's what I heard." My eyes popped out of my skull. I couldn't get angry at the kid because it's not his fault that he was given false information but I'm really trying my best to keep it together.

"No," I shook my head, "he's alive and I never cheated on him. Where did you hear that?"

"My girlfriend told me."

"And she goes here?"

"Yeah, her name is Mina." Jesus Christ, it's always the ones from the past making a mess.
