Chapter 64

Eren's POV:

Mikasa and I were looking through the shelves of the middle school library. So far we found 'The Attack of the Titans'. How nice. I never thought this stuff would've made history like this. People think it's the same as gods and goddesses but little do they know it's just as real as the rest of the world's history.

"Mikasa, look at this one." I pulled out a book that said 'Paradis Island'. She took it and held it with the other.

"Hey, Levi." My head snapped to the left of me and saw Levi next to Mikasa.

"What're you looking for?" He asked.

"Stuff about Titans." She shrugged.

"Titans?!" An unforgettable face ran next to Levi. Even after all this time, Hange is still obsessed with Titans.

"Oh god, don't get shitty glasses over here started." He rolled his eyes. "What made you want to get into them?" I found another book about the Ackerman's and handed it to Mikasa to make my presence known. "Oh." His voice was filled with annoyance as he stared me down.

"Hey." The attitude was just dripping off my tongue. He gave me a quick upward nod.

"Come on, Hange." Levi mumbled and they walked away together. I groaned and smacked a book onto my face.

"He's never gonna like me." I sighed. Mikasa only smirked. "What the hell are you hiding now? I can't deal with this for much longer. Where everyone in the damn world knows about me and my life and I don't."

"I don't know what you're talking about." She said innocently. We walked over to one of the tables and spread them in front of us. Once we sat down, a third seat was immediately taken.

"Levi went to the bathroom so I abandoned him." Hange said manically said. "I'm Hange Zoe." She held her hand out for me to shake. We had never officially met.

"Eren Jaeger."

"I know." She nods with a devilish grin.

"How?"

"Levi." She said over enthusiastically. Why would he talk about me? "Plus, I know about you from the books." Huh?

"What do you mean?"

"I've been obsessed with this since I was little. The Age of the Titans." She waved her a hand across the sky in wonderment. "We're reincarnated."

Holy shit, she is insane.

"What makes you think that?" Mikasa asked.

She dug through her backpack and slammed a book that seemed to be 400 pages on the table.

"Page 217." She flipped the page and it showed a picture I didn't know existed. It was me, Mikasa, Armin, Connie, Sasha, Jean, Levi, Hange, and that kid who's obsessed with me named Floch. "That's us." She moved her arm with her pointer finger out to direct it at all of us. "These aren't some random people who look like us. Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Levi Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Hange Zoe, Connie Springer, Sasha Braus, Floch Forster, and Jean Kirstein." She pointed at every face as she named us all. "I may not remember anything from that time but I think you two do."

Huh?

"How?" I asked.

"Because you were the vicious Titan that destroyed the whole world. But I was killed before I could even get to the fight." She snapped in disappointment. "And you're an Ackerman."

"Are you implying that Levi remembers?" Mikasa asked. Hange shook her head.

"Somehow he doesn't. But I think he will."

Levi doesn't remember? How is that even possible? Hange flipped to another page and it said Ackerman Clan at the top. She traced her finger down and tapped a specific section. She moved the book towards me so I could read.

Captain Levi Ackerman was said to have romantic relations with the Founding Titan, Eren Jaeger. When Jaeger had decided to leave the Survey Corps behind in Marley, this was the written note he had left Ackerman, which was found in his room when had died:

Levi,

I hope you can forgive me for this one day. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't. I need you to forget everything that's happened between us. It'll hurt now but you'll move on soon enough. You're strong. The strongest person I know. I'm sorry for leaving you without saying goodbye. But if I had seen you, I was afraid I would've changed my mind. Take care of yourself, okay? Please. Look out for Mikasa and Armin too. They don't know. I don't expect them to understand either. Please continue to be that fearless leader that you are. The one that's inspired me to this very day. Goodbye my love, maybe I'll see you in another lifetime.

I gasped and smacked my mouth. I looked back at Hange who had the biggest smirk known to man. I wish I had words to say but I just don't.

"Does Levi know about this?" Mikasa asked. Hange shook her head. Mikasa looked at me with mixed emotions. Almost as if she's happy I found out or sad that I had to find out like this. But she doesn't even know Levi is an absolute dick to me. This is a very confusing situation.

"Goodbye my love, maybe I'll see you in another lifetime." I whispered in disbelief.
