Eren's POV:

"Alright, boys!" Coach Shadis yelled. "Hit the showers!" Reiner, Jean, and I began to walk off the field feeling absolutely disgusting. We were dripping sweat and it wasn't much better that our uniforms were practically sticking to us. "Jaeger!"

"Great." I rolled my eyes and turned around. "I'll meet up with you guys later." They nodded as we went our separate ways. I jogged over to Shadis with my helmet in my hand.

"I want you starting varsity."

"Wait, really?" I tried to play it cool but I genuinely couldn't wipe the stupid smile off my face.

"You're one of the best damn Running Back's I've seen on this field in a long time and I know you got spirit. You're fast on your feet and fast in your head."

"Wow, thank you so much."

"Don't make me regret this."

"I won't." I shook my head, allowing the smile to stay. "Thanks, coach."

I ran back to the locker room acting like a kid who just got a balloon.

"What'd he want?" Jean asked.

"Guess who's starting varsity, bitch?" I felt immense pride. This is every high school football player's dream. I can't believe that I'm the one that's been given such an opportunity.

"Congrats, Eren." Reiner nodded.

Once we were ready to leave, Reiner and I parted ways with Jean and said our goodbyes.

"So." I trailed out with a big smirk. "Car dealership?"

"Hell yeah!" Reiner smiled. "Finally gonna get your ass a car!"

I did it. I had finally done it. I saved up enough from all my fights and now I can finally get the car I want. A black Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. My mother is going to have a stroke but this is what happens when you make me get my own car instead of getting me one just like the rest of my friend's parents.

We pulled up to the dealership and I couldn't be more excited.

"What're you gonna do first when you get the car? Fuck in the backseat?" Car sex isn't as fun when you're tall. I found this out using Reiner's car. Which he still doesn't know about.

"Hey now, I'm classy." I pretended to seem posh and sophisticated but a person can only pull that off so well wearing tight black jeans, a black muscle tee that's cut all the way to the bottom, along with my hair tied back. "Ish."

"You look like a grunge wet dream."

"That's because I am a grunge wet dream."

"You seem the type to have Nevermind on repeat and not know what In Utero is."

"I know my shit, dickhead." We both laughed, looking around to see other cars.

"It doesn't surprise me that that's the music you got into. What about Levi?"

"Radiohead fanatic."

"Why doesn't that surprise me?"

"He's the type that'll listen to everything except country...and reggae. He hates reggae."

"Oh so he's okay with your other obnoxious music?"

"He fucks with Code Orange, I can tell." I laughed. No he doesn't. He really doesn't.

"Please, he's probably like 'screaming is literally noise'." He mimicked, attempting to sound like Levi.

"Levi will say something is stupid and then he tries it and then he likes it. That's happened every single time."

"You got a lot of patience, I don't know how you do it." He shook his head.

"Young love." I batted my eyelashes. "Only a soldier can handle little Ackerman."

"Or an Eren Jaeger."

A man had finally come up to us and asked us if we needed any assistance. Well...within an hour, I was on the road with the very car I had my eyes set on. I thanked Reiner before I left and the first person I called was my dad.

"Hey, I got news." I had my phone connected through the speaker. I couldn't believe I was officially a car owner.

"Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Dad," I paused for dramatic effect, "I bought a car!"

"You did?!" He sounded so happy. "Oh my god, Eren! That's so exciting! What kind of car? Are you on your way home?"

"Yeah, I'm pulling into the neighborhood now. Come outside." I swung onto my street and slowly rolled in front of my house, revving the engine once I had put it in park. I rolled down my window to see my dad with both hands on top of his head and a face of utter shock and joy.

"Holy crap, your mother is going to kill you." He laughed. "Honey!" He shouted. "Come outside!"

My mom walked out of the house with her hand covering her mouth and eyes wide.

"Eren, is this your car?" She gasped.

"Yup." I smiled with my mouth closed and eyes squinted.

"Oh my god. These cars are so dangerous."

"Relax, Carla. He'll be okay. I'm the one that taught him how to drive."

"That's what I'm afraid of." She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips. "You two are too much for me sometimes, I swear." She shook her head and walked back into the house. My dad and I just laughed.

"Wanna take a lap around the neighborhood?" I asked.

"Of course!" He got into the passenger seat and stared in awe. "You got this money from Kenny I'm guessing?"

"Yeah," I sighed, putting the car in drive. I really wish it didn't involve him but I can't complain too much when I can get things like this.

"How's that going?"

"I've only lost that one time, Reiner has won all his fights, Jean just started fighting," I was hesitant to bring up the next part but I was curious to see his reaction, "and I fought Zeke."

"Zeke? Really? How did that go?"

"If I'm being honest, I can't remember my fight with him. All I remember is Levi attacking him afterward."

"God, Levi is such a firecracker." My dad really likes Levi. Lately, my mom has been...skeptical. He was my bully first. That's really how she looks at him. She thinks he abuses me and that's why I keep getting all these cuts and bruises. I keep having to tell her it's because Levi, Reiner, and I spar at the gym. I really wish my mom wasn't crazy like this, which is why I'm so lucky to have my dad the way he is.

"Mom say anything else about him lately?"

"The same things unfortunately."

"She's so bipolar with him, I swear. One day she'll ask me to invite him over for dinner and the next, she'll be telling you that she thinks he's some kind of monster." Yeah, my dad is the one that rats her out. We have the typical father, son relationship so that's expected. That's another thing that was in my design and it's also changed me for the better.

"Well, I know Levi isn't a monster. I like you two together. You're a good team." My dad being supportive of me being bisexual as well as my relationship with Levi has also taken a large part in why I'm the way I am today. Parental acceptance and support.

"Thanks." I smiled, pulling back around onto our street and parking in front of the house due to the lack of space in the driveway. "I think so too."
