Complications Throughout Generations

Chapter 107

Eren's POV:

A few months had passed. Sophomore year was finally over. A few things had changed since Bertolt's funeral.

Jean got out of the mental hospital 3 weeks later. He had a complete breakdown in front of his mom when Reiner had dropped him off. He said he started screaming and he saw all of the dead bodies, including Bertolt, Sasha, and Marco's on the floor in his kitchen. Then his mom came in to see what was happening and he started hallucinating. She became a Titan to him and almost stabbed her. Shockingly, Mikasa was visiting him at his house frequently. Her and I haven't yet gotten on normal speaking terms but we still talk occasionally since I'm with Levi often.

Levi started boxing. Of course, he encouraged me to join. Which led me asking Reiner to join as well. I'd say the 3 of us have always been the most aggressive out of the bunch. Reiner needed to let his emotions out, Levi is Levi, and I'm just here to look hot.

Annie had just recently gotten out of rehab as well. She was doing better. Annie, Mikasa, and Ymir started going to the gym together. They're trying their best to keep her clean and healthy. We eventually found out who was supplying her with the deadly drug. Oruo Bozad. Hearing that was incredibly disappointing to Levi in particular. Although Oruo didn't have his memory, it almost seemed like a revenge plan due to the fact that Annie was the one that ended his life as the Female Titan. Maybe she did it on purpose and felt as if she needed to be punished. I'm not necessarily sure how or why it happened.

Sasha and Connie have officially been together for 5 months and they've been happier than ever as you could possibly imagine.

Armin isn't mad at me anymore. But he's definitely still hung up on Bertolt's death. I don't blame him for that.

A lot of people were anticipating Historia's end of the year party but she was hesitant. Unfortunately but unsurprisingly, she does care about her reputation and her status in school and doesn't want to disappoint. After Bertolt, that's her call. I personally think it would be fucked up. I would assume others could agree. This even led Reiner to say he was happy she picked Ymir because he never would've wanted to be with someone who even had second thoughts about a stupid party.

Hange is loving her life as an Ackerman. She's officially changed her name legally. She now goes by Hange Zoe-Ackerman. I had finally gotten the full story from Levi about their friendship. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't of survived the blast of the thunder spear. He would've been left for dead. She took care of him. And for that, I'm beyond grateful. I had genuinely believed Zeke killed Levi once he showed up in Shiganshina. When Gabi had blown my head off, part of me was secretly hoping I'd stay headless so I could be with Levi in the afterlife. But I knew that wasn't my fate. I knew my plan wouldn't fail just yet. I remember seeing him in Liberio, fighting alongside me against the Jaw Titan. I was in wonderment. I was in so much awe that I had let myself get distracted and nearly killed. I also remember when he snuck down to see me in that jail cell. 4 long years had gone by and he was just as beautiful as ever. Although I knew of his plan, I'll finally admit that it nearly worked multiple times. There were nights where I'd stay up and think about running and hiding from everything and be alone with him.

As for me, I've hit the 5'11 mark, I officially have my driving permit, and I convinced my parents to let me get a tattoo. I dragged Levi to the tattoo shop with me and he immediately rolled his eyes once he found out what it was. I had gotten 'fight' written on me in Japanese. So on my upper right chest, it says 戦う. His immediate response was 'I'd be a billionaire for every time I've heard that come out of your mouth, so I'd say it definitely suits you'. In other words, my life isn't crazy and I've become the boring one for once.

We all decided it was best to stay close together. With Bertolt gone, we want to take advantage of every second we have together because anything can happen. So currently, we all decided to go bowling. I'm sure you could imagine who's good and who's not. Due to the large number of people, we needed 3 lanes. On one, we had me, Levi, Hange, and Armin. One another, we had Connie, Sasha, Ymir, and Historia. And on the last, we had Mikasa, Reiner, Jean, and Annie.
