Chapter 94

Levi's POV:

Mikasa and I were sitting across from each other on the couch in silence. It seemed to be a rare occasion due to my new social status and her relationship with Eren.

"Did anyone have plans for Eren?" She spoke up.

"Why would they?" I continued to look down at the current book I was reading: Dune.

"Because they're his friends." She seemed unamused but my snarky comment.

"Are they? Because he certainly didn't act like a friend to Jean and you certainly didn't like the best sister either. So I think that's enough for them to wanna keep their distance."

"Listen Levi," she sighed, "Eren and I have been together for a few months now. I think we're both really starting to realize that maybe this lifetime was actually meant for us. I know that sounds harsh but it's true. You hurt him a lot, we had a conversation about it not that long ago. I know he still cares but I think he's moving on finally."

I haven't decided if I wanted to completely ignore her and prove her wrong or just accept that there's a potential truth in her statement.

"No." I whispered and shook my head. I closed my eyes in hopes that I could keep my composure. Mikasa and I had never actually gotten into a fight about it. We've just ignored each other with small talk. But I genuinely think it's going to happen right now.

"I'm sorry."

"You're not sorry." My voice was low with venom. "Do you have any idea what you've done?"

"Levi, please. I don't want to do this now, Eren is on his-"

"Oh, is he really? That's perfect, because it would be great for him to hear this. But I'll start with you." I put my book down to the side. "You're fucking evil. This world or timeline or whatever the fuck Eren did, was for me. Not you. He has told everyone this. Including me. Get off your fucking high horse, Mikasa. He will act like he wants you but when I get my memories back, he will leave you so fast."

"Levi, please." She really didn't want to have this conversation but I wasn't going to stop now.

"No, you fucking listen. I am your brother whether you like it or not, you don't do that shit to your family. I wish I could say 'what if I did that with Jean' but I can't because it's clear you never loved him either. Was all that back then a lie? Did you just go for Jean after Eren died?"

"Levi, Eren is here."

"Tell him to come inside."

"No." She grit through her teeth.

"Fine." I smirked.

I got off the couch and ran to the front door.

"No!" Mikasa shouted, following me. I'm not sure what came over me but when I could tell she was close enough, I kicked her down to the ground. Sibling love. She'll be fine.

I ran outside and saw Carla in the driver's seat with Eren in the passenger. I pointed to him and motioned for him to get out of the car. He pointed to himself in shock and I nodded. He nervously came out over to me. I took him by the hand and dragged him inside. Once I opened the door, Mikasa was back on the couch holding her side.

"I need you to answer me this question right now."

"Eren!" Mikasa desperately wanted me to stop but I had to ask in front of her.

"If I had my memory back right now, would you leave Mikasa and be with me?" I was almost out of breath when I had asked. Still got the moves, not the stamina it seems. His eyes bulged out of his skull.

"Levi, what kind of question is-"

"Answer it!" I shouted at his dumb question asking me what kind of question my question was. Idiot.

He covered his nose and mouth with his hands and exhaled.

"I don't know." He shook his head. What? How? "I'm sorry." I reached up to his hands and slowly pulled them down so I could see his face. Immediately, I slapped him with all my might. He knew exactly what that meant. He didn't even get mad, he understood.

Mikasa stood up and walked over to us both.

"We need to go." Her voice was shaky as she grabbed Eren's hand and rushed out the door. I watched them leave and the emotion of guilt and sadness was written all over his face.

I went over and sat back on the couch with a large sigh following behind. I looked over and saw my phone light up on the table.

Eren - Can we talk?

Levi - I don't see how we could

Eren - No, after I drop Mikasa off

Levi - Where

Eren - Once I drop her off, I'll tell my mom to stay and then you come in the car with me and we'll go back to my house

Eren - Say you're sleeping over Hange's

Levi - You want me to sleep over?

Eren - Yes

Levi - Okay I'll see you then

Eren - See you then
