Eren's POV:
It was the next day. I had planned on asking Mikasa about Jean. This was more so for me to see him looking absolutely ridiculous in white rather than helping him out. But hey, he agreed.
We were in Mr. Jarnach's history class. He was teaching us about Greek and Roman gods so I didn't care enough to pay attention. I turned to a page on my notebook, skipping past all my little drawings of things I had seen in my memories. The new one I kept seeing was this huge, hairy Titan. That thing looked gross. But nothing and no one has triggered that yet aside from seeing it in my dreams. Once I turned to a clean page, I started to write the question I was going to ask Mikasa. She was about 3 seats away from me so I'd have to throw it at a good angle.
"There was another god that was neither from the Romans or the Greek. Hundreds of years ago, there was a goddess named Ymir." I immediately dropped my pencil at the teacher's words and felt my blood run cold. "It had been said that she was the Goddess of Titans. Does anyone want to guess what a Titan is?" No one answered and I sure as hell won't be. "Eren." Of course he randomly picks me. "What do you think a Titan is?"
I sighed and looked up. "Titans were giant man-eating monsters." The class giggled. They must think I'm wrong. Well guess what guys, I lived it, so you can all shut up.
"That's correct." Mr. Jarnach said. "Have you done your research on Titans before, Eren?" I couldn't decide if I should answer yes or no.
"Lucky guess." I shrugged. I noticed Mikasa turned around and gave me a panicked look. Sorry Jean, might need to hold off on helping you out for a bit.
"Ymir herself was a Titan. The first to actually obtain the power. There was a nation called, Eldia, in which she lived where she was a slave to the king. He had abused her power in order to bring prosperity to Eldia while devastating their enemy nation, Marley. 13 years after awakening her power, she died protecting the king. Her corpse was then eaten by her 3 daughters. Sina, Maria, and Rose. Her powers had then split into what then became the 9 Titans." I swear, if my name somehow pops into this lesson, I'll be the one asking to get homeschooled. Mr. Jarnach then changed the slide on the projector screen and it showed poorly drawn images of each of the 9 Titans. My head began to pound seeing a few I hadn't yet before. Luckily with time and age, I just get brief headaches when this stuff happens rather than a whole brain spasm. "Does anyone think they can guess what they were named based off of what they look like?" Truthfully no, you really couldn't. But I knew what they were. Mikasa raised her hand. I was shocked. The teacher nodded and asked her to go ahead.
"The one in the top left," she pointed. Of course that's the one she picks, "I'm gonna guess the Attack Titan." Was that really what I looked like? I never knew. It's not like I could've just looked in a mirror. God, I was scary.
"Yes!" He was shocked. I mean I would be too. "Any other guesses?" I raised my hand. If she can, go can I. "Eren, go for it."
"Next to it is the Armored Titan." I probably should've made it sound like a question rather than a statement but oh well.
"That's also correct. Do you and Mikasa know the rest? You really do seem to know this."
"The girl...underneath the Attack Titan, that's the Female Titan." Mikasa said. So far we have me, Annie, and Reiner down. Best to go with another friend.
"Next to the Armored Titan is the Colossal Titan and underneath the Female Titan is the Beast Titan." I genuinely wasn't sure about the rest because I hadn't yet seen them in my memories.
"The one underneath the Colossal Titan is the Warhammer Titan." Mikasa began. I knew she knew the rest since she had the rest of her memory. "And underneath that is the Jaw Titan and to the left of that is the Cart Titan." She didn't say the one in the middle. She had to know who that was, why didn't she say that one?
