Kuchel's POV:

I rushed into Mikasa's room in full panic mode.

"Mikasa, where is your brother?"

Mikasa looked up from her phone with wide eyes.

"Maybe he's with Eren, I don't know." She shrugged. I really hope that isn't the case.

"Mikasa, do you know where Eren is?"

"How should I know?" She must know about The Underground. Levi and Eren told me Jean told everyone.

"Mikasa," I raised my voice, "this is serious. Is Levi with Eren, yes or no."

"Alright, alright, jeez. Yeah, he's with Eren. He's been going to Eren's fights for, like, months."

I gasped in disbelief. I felt betrayed by both the boys and afraid at the same time.

"I need to go."

I ran downstairs and slipped my shoes on that were sitting by the front door. I took my car keys off the hook and got inside my car.

"Come on, pick up, pick up, pick up." I was dialing Levi's number, praying he'd answer but I knew my chances were slim. His phone went to voicemail. "Shit!" I slammed my steering wheel as I sped off onto the street. It was a 20 minute drive but I could make it in 15. How could they do this to me?

As I had driven as fast as possible without getting seen by any police, I finally made it. I knew the place well. Kenny started The Underground before the twins were born so I was there more than I would've liked. I saw that Eren's car was here and I grumbled with anger. Walking as quickly as I could, I slammed the door open and spotted Eren in the center of the ring along with Reiner, Levi, and Jean watching. I can't believe Kenny has all of them involved, they're just kids!

"Levi!" I called out and marched towards him. He panicked at the sound of my voice and stood paralyzed. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" I have never cursed at him but I felt this was appropriate.

"Mom, I-I don't-" he was stuttering of course. I'd be afraid to if I knew I was in this much trouble.

"Do you know how hard it's been to keep you away from Kenny and now you've chosen to walk right into it?! Where is he?!" Levi didn't answer and I groaned in frustration. I figured Kenny was in his office so I slammed the door open, hitting the wall.

"Kuchel?" His eyes widened and he got up out of his chair.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" I screamed and pushed him back in his seat. "You seriously have 4 minors, including my son, here?!"

"Technically almost 10 and your son doesn't fight." Kenny smirked. I slapped him across the face as hard as I could.

"I'm calling the cops." I took my phone out and shook my head until I heard a gun being pulled out.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." His voice was low; an attempt to sound intimidating. But he doesn't scare me. Believe it or not, when we were kids, I was the scary one. Being aggressive as well as a good fighter is an Ackerman thing, not a Kenny thing. It's in Levi's blood. So it didn't surprise me when I heard he was humanity's strongest soldier.

"You wouldn't shoot me. You're too much of a coward."

"Put the phone away and I'll put the gun down. Don't make this hard, Kuchel." I put my phone back in my pocket as he put his gun back in its holster. "Go out, watch Eren, relax." He said as if everything was okay.

"You disgust me."

"That's a shame now innit, sis." He leaned forward and lit a cigarette.

I left the room and made my way next to Levi. I felt absolutely helpless but as long as I could protect Levi, I was okay for now. I tried to distract myself by watching Eren. He was stronger than I thought. Angrier than I thought too. He was completely dominating this fight.

"I'm sorry." Levi sighed, keeping his eyes on Eren.

"I know."

I glanced over Kenny's office and saw his door was still closed. I'm putting an end to this once and for all. I cautiously took my phone back out and dialed 911.

"911, what's your emergency?" The operator said.

"Hi, I'm Kuchel Ackerman. I'm at 3912 Sheena Road. It's the abandoned restaurant. There's an illegal fight club with minors involved. It's run by Kenny-"

My hip started to throb intensely. I dropped my phone and slowly looked down. Blood was seeping through my shirt. I looked over at Kenny's office and saw him holding a gun right at me. My eyes were rolling to the back of my head and my head was getting hazy, I couldn't stand. I fell to the ground and pulled Levi down with me.

"Mom?" Levi dropped to his knees. "Oh my god." He put his hand on the bleeding wound from the gunshot, covering himself in blood. "Everything's going to be fine, everything's going to be okay." He panicked. "Reiner!" He yelled. I could barely tell what was going on because of the loud screams, meaning no one except Kenny, Levi, and now Reiner were aware of what was happening. Jean was still watching and Eren was still fighting. "Call an ambulance!"

"Holy fuck, okay!" Reiner shouted, running outside.

"Baby, it'll be okay, I'll be okay." I weakly smiled, feeling myself drift off.

"Keep your eyes open!" He shook me, resting me on his thighs. "Just stay awake. Stay awake." He choked out.

Reiner came back, "they're on their way. Apparently she already called. They'll be here soon."

Levi took his shirt off and pressed it against the wound, in attempt to stop the bleeding.

"Don't leave me." Levi began to cry and took my hand in his. He was shaking uncontrollably. "Please, don't fucking leave me, mom."

I felt tears slip out from my eyes but I felt too weak to move my face.

"Levi, I love you so so much. All I've ever wanted was to get that second chance of being your mother."

"You're the best mom I could've ever asked for. I love you so much." He sobbed.

"Levi, baby, I'm not gonna make it." I shook my head.

"Don't say that. You're gonna make it, you'll be fine, I promise."

"You'll be okay, sweetheart. You're so strong."

"No," he aggressively shook his head, "no, I won't be okay. Don't leave. You're not gonna die. The ambulance is on their way. You'll be fine. You're gonna make it."

"Take care of your sisters for me, okay?" I felt myself fading in and out. "I love you so much, angel. Never forget that."
