Complications Throughout Generations

Chapter 128

Eren's POV:

I had eventually recovered after 3 weeks. Not fully but enough to start fighting again. Tonight would be my return and I'm fully expecting to get my ass kicked again since Kenny likes to throw men at me that are twice my size. Reiner told me Levi was quite the spectator so maybe that'll be encouraging. Yes, Levi is coming. He knows the truth now so there's nothing to hide and with Reiner by his side, I'll feel better knowing he won't be alone. Levi didn't talk about the incident again after that night. I know that was a lot for him. Imagine going from not letting most people touching you and then you get assaulted like that. I better not see anyone go near him or they're dead.

The three of us pulled up to The Underground and stayed close together. Usually I'd hold Levi's hand but I knew it was best not to. I'd rather not deal with homophobic comments or the opposite, men coming onto Levi. There's also the factor that I'd like to keep my personal life out of this as best as possible.

"My champion!" Kenny shouted with his arms in the air. "I've missed you, kid." He patted my shoulder and then looked at Levi. "Shocked to see you, Levi. You here to see your little boyfriend fight?" Levi seemed uneasy with the thought of Kenny knowing we were together. He definitely wants to stay as private as possible around him as well. "Relax, runt. I don't care. I seen you two at the gym a couple times being all over each other. Didn't take you as the female in the relationship though."

"Shut the fuck up, Kenny." I don't want him talking to Levi. If I had it my way, Levi wouldn't be here at all. But of course, someone just has to be stubborn.

"My apologies, princess. Now get your ass in the ring." I took my shirt off and handed it to Levi.

"Oh, is this your thing? You take your shirt off?" He scoffed and I laughed with a nod. "Don't get fucked up this time. It's embarrassing."

"I know. I'll win, don't worry."

"Good luck, Eren." I nodded again and went into the ring. Once I was inside, I met Kenny in the middle.

"Folks, our Attack Titan is back!" Everyone began to cheer. Glad to know I was missed. "And to give him a warm welcome, we have a brand new opponent. Everyone, meet," this is not going to end well, "The Beast!" Kenny left the ring once Zeke was in front of me and locked it shut.

"Listen, Zeke. I'm gonna make this really easy for the both of us, okay?" I raised my arms in a fighting stance.

"Easy? I've wanted to do this for quite some time." He smirked and charged at me. He was slower than me, that's for sure. I moved out of the way and he missed me completely. I got behind him and put my arms around his neck and started to choke him. But he bent down to grab onto me and threw me over his back onto the ground. I was going to give this one a performance. I thought I could wait it out for Levi's sake. I know he'll have a few words to say from outside the cage. Zeke looked over to Levi as his foot was on my chest. "I see you've brought Levi. I'm shocked he hasn't ripped through here already."

"Eren, what the fuck are you doing?!" I started laughing hysterically as I heard Levi shout at me. Reiner wasn't lying when he said he was quite the spectator. "Beat his ass!"

"Still a loud mouth as well I see."

"Oh you have no idea." I smirked and grabbed his foot, yanking it to the other side of my torso so he would fall on his back. I stood up, annoyed that he was just as quick to do the same. We both threw punches at each other. Some hit, some dodged. Zeke wasn't a fighter and it showed. But so did the fact that I wasn't at my fullest.

"You know, I have a few questions that I always wondered." Of course Zeke would try and have a normal conversation as if we're not going back and forth with our fists aiming at each other. "Do you think you're the same person?"

"What do you mean?" I was breaking a sweat, big time.

"Well, do you regret starting The Rumbling?" That was the last thing I thought I'd be asked. But it took me by surprise. I was distracted enough for him to get a solid uppercut hit onto my stomach.

"I don't regret," I was out of breath, wiping the sweat off my face, "making my friends heroes." I swung my fist into the right side of his jaw, knocking a tooth out. He stumbled backwards onto the perimeter of the cage. "I don't regret fucking you over." I stomped down hard on his neck and kept my position. He starting choking. The goal was to suffocate him until he passed out. "And I really wish I could've gotten to see Levi chop your filthy head off." He stopped struggling and became unconscious. I left him laying to the side and walked towards Kenny who was now back in the ring.

"And The Attack Titan is back!" He raised my fist in the air along with his. Once the cheering had died down, I went into his office with him as he counted and divided the money.

"Any reason you paired me up with Zeke?" I leaned against the wall with my arms crossed.

"History books."

"Because of me or because of Levi?"

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Kenny said. A random guy came in who must've been watching seemed panicked. "What, spit it out."

"There's a fight." The man said.

"Okay?"

"It's The Beast and the kid you said no one was allowed to fuck with."

Kenny got out of his seat immediately and I pushed the guy out of the way.

"I will fucking kill you!" Levi screamed as he brutally punched Zeke over and over. But Zeke was beaten at this point. I ran over to them and grabbed Levi off of him. "Get off me!" He struggled.

"Levi, Levi, it's me." He calmed down realizing it was me holding him. I wasn't shocked to see Porco run to Zeke's side.

"What the fuck happened?" Kenny was not happy.

"Zeke doesn't know when to shut his mouth," Reiner said, coming behind me and Levi on the floor.

"And where the fuck were you?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Felt like Levi needed to get it out of his system."

I stood up with Levi close to me. But not for anyone to assume anything. I wanted to keep it that way, even after this.

I looked back at Kenny, "I'll ask you again. Because of me or him?"

"I think your question has been answered, kid." He smirked and pushed my cut of the pay into my chest. "Your next fight is Friday. Now get outta here."

The three of us left the building and then towards Reiner's car. Levi went to the passenger seat, the way he came. He's not a fan of backseats, he claims he gets 'car sick'. We had our small talk until Reiner dropped us off at my house. Although Kuchel knows I'm fighting for Kenny, she doesn't know Levi is involved. The second she does, I can't imagine what'll happen next. Once we had climbed in through my window, I got into my bed.

"No." He shook his head.

"No? No, what."

"Take a shower, brat. I saw you out there. You were sweating like a pig."

"Only if you join me." I smirked.

"Go." He pointed at the door. I sighed in defeat and pushed myself off the bed.

"Levi, is everything okay?"

"We'll talk after."
