Y/N's POV:

"Hello my pumpkin!" your mom smiles, completely bypassing you to swoop little Jenna in her arms. This must be payback for what you did to Sunny when you landed.

Your dad chuckles and decides to take pity on you, wrapping his long arms around your frame. "Hey, you," he says, your body melting into his familiar embrace for the first time in years. "You're looking beautiful as always."

"Yeah, did you lose some weight?" Mom asks, hoisting Jenna up onto her hip.

"I did," you grin, giving her a hug as well. They look exactly the same as you remember, maybe just a few more gray hairs on their heads but that's really the only difference. You've video called with them a lot so that's probably why their faces don't look much different to you.

Your mom talks your ear off the entire way home, reminding you a little of Namjoon. The two of them in the same room would give you a massive headache, not letting you get a word in as they talk about things you couldn't care less for. But you quietly listen to her chatter while your dad and Jenna play games on his tablet.

Eventually she takes a breath to ask about you and you decide to keep it vague. You and Sunny thought it would be best not to tell them anything until you've made a final decision on moving or not so they don't worry unnecessarily. Your parents are a little quirky but they love you and want the best for you.

So you tell them about how you still love your job and that your friends are amazing, which are not lies. You tell them about your adventures with Kai and give them some inside scoop on BTS's upcoming albums. Technically you're not supposed to be telling them this stuff but they don't speak a word of Korean nor are they interested in kpop so it's all going in one ear and out the other for them.

"Are you still friends with Jimin?" Mom asks. "What about Yoon-jee. How's he doing?"

"I'm still close with Jimin," you nod, gripping the steering wheel as you try to figure out how to answer the other part of her question. "I don't see G much anymore since he's busy, but I've become pretty close with a different member."

"Is it Jhope?" Dad asks from behind you. "I like that one. He's my... what's it called? When they're my favorite?"

"Your bias," you laugh. "And no, it's not him though I am slowly getting closer with all of them. But I'm especially close to Jimin and Namjoon now."

"Is that the one with tattoos?"

"He does have a small 7 tattoo on his ankle but I think you're referring to Jungkook. Namjoon is the leader that speaks English."

"Oh!" your mom claps her hands together. "The big handsome stud!"

A belly laugh leaves your mouth and you nod. "Yes he's the big handsome one. Though they're all pretty handsome I must say."

"I need you to bring one of them home as my son-in-law," Mom smiles. "My vote is Namjoon or Yoon-jee. Or maybe Jhope to make your father happy."

"Honey, he moves like water," your dad says in awe. "It's like he doesn't have bones. That means he's probably good in the bedroom too."

"Dad!" you gape, making both your parents double over in laughter. Your cheeks heat up but you're not sure why you're surprised; this is how they've always been. Sunny takes after them more than you do even though she's not related biologically.

But eventually you're laughing along with them, changing the subject to talk about other things. You're really glad you decided to come home, even though it wasn't under the happiest of circumstances. Your family's a little odd but you know you're loved here. They'd welcome you with open arms if you decide to move back, and you'd be able to stay either with Sunny or your parents since they live just a few blocks from each other.
