Penelope's POV

As Garreth walked me back to my common room I couldn't get rid of the redness that covered my face.

"Hey Penelope you know I care about you right?"

"Well of course I know. You show me every day" I looked over to see him smiling.

"I know you are in love with Ominis. We all know Penelope. I also know how much it hurt you to see him ask another girl to the ball. Arthur was ready to fight Ominis by the way." He chuckled. "I'm not going to lie to you Penelope, but I was upset that he really hurt you. I wanted you to move on and be happy with another guy. However I know it's not my place. Penelope what I'm trying to say is, if you really love Ominis you should tell him. That boy is denser than I am. I want you to fight for his love and win against that girl that he seems to be with. Your a Weasley Penelope and we are not losers. I mean the sweater clearly says"

"I know Winning Weasley" he hugged me and placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Just please don't get hurt in the process" I hugged him tightly.

"Thank you Garreth"

"So my siblings have a bonding moment and I'm left out in the dark" I laughed hearing how jealous Arthur would get. He approached us with another boy. "Guys I want you to meet my friend. His name is Jasper and he will be sharing our table with his date Daria".

I couldn't stop staring at him. He looked towards the floor and I broke my contact figuring I most likely made him uncomfortable. I wanted to cry because he reminded me so much of Kieren. He even had his middle name. I wanted to ask him questions, but figured it might be a coincidence and I rather keep my identity protected. I looked at Arthur who looked confused.

"Nice to meet you Garreth and Penelope" he said still not looking at me in my eye.

"Pleasure is ours" Garreth said politely.

"We will see you guys at the ball" Arthur and Jasper walked away. Garreth left soon after.

Ominis POV

I hated large crowds. I hated all the loud chatter and bickering I was able to hear. Where was Madeline? Why was she taking so long to come down. I just wanted to go inside.

"So Ominis did you tell Penelope?"

"No I haven't we were interrupted per usual. We are going to meet in her room of requirement once the ball is over. I will tell her then"

"Can I join?"

"No Sebastian. I'm going to confess to her and I want that to be private"

"I'm guessing your not coming home tonight my dear wife"

"Stop that, and of course not I'm spending my night with Penelope"

"Ominis you sly dog. I didn't know you had it in you to do such a thing"

"Sebastian stop! We are not going to be doing none of that" I heard him chuckle.

"Hey guys" I heard as Garreth, Arthur and Sebastian talked with one another. 

"Omi there you are" I rolled my eyes knowing exactly who it was.

"Great let's go inside"

"Aren't you going to tell me how beautiful I look"

"Of course. You look great now can we get going"

"Ominis, my date hasn't arrived yet"

"Sebastian I thought you were taking Addison?"

"Change of plans" I heard him chuckle.

I was rather annoyed at Madeline's comments on other girls dresses. I was also annoyed her arm was clinging on to mine.

"Hey Sebastian you haven't seen my date yet have you?"

"No Damien. I believe she should be coming down soon" I clenched my jaw annoyed that he would be dancing with Penelope all night, but smiled at how afterwards she will be mine.

That's when I heard loud gasps and silence. "Sebastian what is going on?" I asked worriedly.

"Close your mouth Sallow that's my sister" I started hearing whispers around me about Penelope. They all talked about how beautiful she looked.

"It's Penelope. Ominis she looks ethereal. She is absolutely stunning." I smiled. Oh how I wished to have sight at this moment to be able to see Penelope. I bet she looked as beautiful as everyone was saying.

"Princess you look so gorgeous"

"Thank you Prince Charming you all do"

"Penelope, I know I can't see you, but I know you look beautiful" I heard Madeline mumble something under her breath.

"Thank you Ominis" I heard her speak to Damien and walk inside. I couldn't wait any longer I wanted her to be mine and only mine.

As the night went by I spent my time sitting at the table. Madeline kept pestering me to dance, but I wasn't really in the mood. I had already danced once with her and that was all I was giving her.

"Why can't you be like Damien? He's been dancing this whole time with Penelope. They both haven't stopped smiling this whole night. Look at them they are just perfect." I balled my hand into a fist.

I can hear they were dancing near by and could hear their conversation. "Penelope, I was wondering if you would like to go on another date with me? I want to see what could happen between us" I heard before they got farther and I couldn't hear Penelope's answer.

"Excuse me I need to get some air" I made my way outside to the balcony. Why can't I ever just tell her? Why does it feel like everything gets in between us every time I try?

Emelisse I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I whispered. I know I said I'd marry you when we were older. Merlin I even had decided that I'd never fall in love again. I wasn't going to date or marry anyone because I thought I would break my promise to you, but this girl she came bursting into my life. I'm sorry Emelisse, but I have fallen in love again. I want to be with this girl so bad. I leaned my head down and felt a butterfly land on my finger. I smiled "Hello Penelope"
