Jasper's POV

I woke us gasping for air. I looked over to Arthur's bed but he was still fast asleep. I rubbed my face as the guilt was eating me alive. I felt Garreth stir a bit next to me so I patted his head gently, before getting oof the bed. Once I started to move off he clutched my arm.

"Jaspy?" He said in a groggy voice.

"I'm just going to get some air Garreth"

"Was it a nightmare? I'll come with you"

"Yes it was but I'm okay Garreth. Just get some rest okay" I grabbed the blanket and covered him up. I smiled at how quickly he had returned back to sleep. I could hear soft snores as I reached the door.

I stood outside the tent and picked up some stones. I threw them as far as I could and closed my eyes. I quickly opened them when a vision of my family appeared. I let out a deep sigh before I felt something warm touch my arm.

"Don't worry it's hot chocolate" I grabbed the mug from Emelisse's arms and then felt her put a blanket over me.

"Thank you" I looked over to see her drinking her mug as well.

"The weather is starting to get colder out here. Why on earth are you outside?"

"The fresh air in your lungs is good for quidditch players" I lied.

"Aha and I was born yesterday. Jasper you know you can come to me when you need me. You aren't alone and we will get through this together." I laughed as she clanked our mugs together.

"Thanks I appreciate it"

"Happy Birthday Kieren" she whispered. My smile quickly turned into a frown. Before I could say anything Ominis walked out.

"Why are you out here?"

"Where you looking for me?"

"No I came to get a glass of water, and heard your laugh so I came over here" I watched as he held her close. I smiled thinking how he just to fight her all the time when they were younger. How he'd often get frustrated with her games. I always knew he'd end up falling for her.
"It's cold out here my love. You are going to catch a cold"

"I'm okay Ominis don't worry" she pushed the mug up to his lips and he took a couple of sips.

"We should head back inside. It is rather chilly out here" Ominis head turned towards me and glared at me. What in earth did I do?

The next morning I got ready quickly and made my way inside the house. "Good morning Mrs. Weasley" I said as I kissed her cheek and stole one of the biscuits in her hand.

"Good morning dear, did you need something?"

"I was wondering if you had any colorful parchment paper" I blushed and turned the other way.

"Are you going to wrap your own birthday present? You know Jasper that's something others do for you" my eyes widened as I turned to look at her. "Oh come off it. You know no one can keep secrets from me I am a mother and I know it all. The walls speak to me and I have eyes in the back of my head" she laughed.

"I umm I" she grabbed my cheeks.

"You deserve it. I don't care what you say or think Jasper, but you deserve to be happy. I was friends with your mother in school and she was a very kind and loving girl. She would never have wanted you to beat yourself up like this" tears ran down my cheeks.
