Arthur's POV
As I walked inside the house everyone turned their heads towards me. Garreth glared at me as he turned his head back to his empty plate.
"Where is Ominis?" Penelope looked at me with a worried face,
"I'm not sure I thought he'd be back here" I said as Garreth scoffed. "I'll go find him".
Once I was back I rubbed my face in frustration. Where could he have run off to? I thought to myself.
"Everything alright Artie?" I turned around and saw Aria standing by the porch.
"Yes just..." I looked down at the floor and shook my head.
"What happened?"
"Ominis asked if he could ask Penelope out officially. I told him no but I was really mean about it. Cruel to be exact. I brought up his family and I regret it so much" I looked up as Penelope walked towards me with anger.
"You what?!"
"I'm sorry Penelope. It slipped and I was just to focused on keeping you safe"
"From Ominis? I know you protect me Arthur and I'm grateful for it. You are a wonderful brother, however you should have never been mean to him"
"I know I apologize"
"You should be apologizing to him!" I watched as everyone slowly came out of the house. "There are things you don't need to protect me from. This is one of them"
