New friends

Sebastian's POV

I was starting to wake up for a brief moment. I let out a little groan as I had slept on my back remembering that I had moved next to Penelope during the night. I wanted to make sure I was next to her if those bastards dared to come back.

I felt the palm of my left hand on top of Penelope's cheek. I looked over and smiled at how cute she looked. Her back was towards me as she laid on her side. Ominis faced her grabbing her in a protective manner.I tired not to laugh as I saw the small niffler toy in between them.

I felt horrible he that he went through such pain especially when he couldn't really see what was going on. I caressed Penelope's cheek once more before I let go. I'm glad she was safe. I'm also glad I never took the opportunity to to see if there could be something more between us because they are perfect together.

I felt something grip my other hand and turned my head. I saw Wendy still asleep with tears sliding down her cheek. I turned my body towards her and wiped them away gently so I wouldn't wake her. I smiled softly hearing how peaceful she sounded. I wondered what was going on in that pretty head of hers. What caused her so much pain?

I felt my cheeks run hot as I felt her hug my entire arm and bring it closer to her. She embraced it as if it was a stuffed animal. I tried hard not to move or make a sound. I tried to hold my breath as she had moved closer to me. I relaxed and breathed once more the moment I heard her let out a soft sound of relief. If she needed comfort I was going to give it to her. This time Garreth wasn't here to help her. I could smell the sweet smell of strawberries and vanilla in her hair. I knew it was still too early so I allowed my self to drift back to sleep.

Penelope's POV

I shifted a bit as my eyes fluttered open. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to wake up next to such an incredible person. The way his once styled hair fell in front of his face drove me wild. He was just so handsome. Trying not to wake him I placed a gentle kiss on his chin. I hummed softly as Ominis pulled me closer to him and placed a gentle kiss on top of my head.

"Good morning my love" he said in a groggy voice as he smiled down at me with his eyes half way open. "You were staring again" he whispered.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you, but if you sensed me staring my guess is you were already awake" he brought his hand up to my cheek and pushed my hair out of my face.

"I love you" he smiled. "More than anything in the world and I'm glad you are safe next to me" his smile became a weak one. His eyes saddened as he looked my direction. I wish I could just take away all his pain, his guilt, his sadness.

"I love you too" I sat up and looked to my side. My grin widened at the sight of Wendy cuddling onto Sebastian's arm. Before I could let a Ominis know of the situation in which I caught them Wendy started to shift towards Arthur and released Sebastian.

Wendy's POV

I thanked Mrs. Weasley for the lovely breakfast and hospitality before I parted ways. As I walked down the dirt path I was able to see my breathe through the chilly air. The snow was late this season. I rubbed my hands together and breathed on them trying to warm them up until I remembered I still had Sebastian's gloves in my pocket. I slid them over my hands and smiled at how big the gloves fit, but was grateful for the warmth they emitted.

I was startled when I felt something wrap around my neck. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach but before I could react I heard Penelope giggle and come around to the front of me.

"Wendy did you really think you could leave without us" she chuckled as I blushed. I stopped and turned around seeing the whole gang had come to join me as well.

"It's really cold this morning Wendy and all you had was a small jacket" I saw her give me a wink once she saw my hands. Penelope had wrapped a red scarf around my neck.

"Thank you Penelope" I smiled at her.

"Your my friend Wendy no need to thank me" she gave me the biggest genuine smile. She grabbed my hand and pulled me forward come on she giggled. 'Come on' played in my head. I smiled at how similar Penelope was to my old friend. Her smile even reminded me of her.

"Girls don't go to far!" Arthur yelled from behind and Penelope laughed.

"Merlin he acts like he's our mother" she snorted. I laughed at how mischievous Penelope can actually be. Once we were a bit far she turned around and held my hands in hers.

"Is something wrong Penelope?" I asked worriedly.

"Nothing is wrong. I just... nevermind" she let go of one of my hands and gripped the other. What did she want to tell me? I would ask but I don't want to push her either.

The others had caught up and were walking behind us. Every now and then I'd turn around and would see Ominis right behind us like a guard dog. I could tell he really loved Penelope. He cared about her a lot. I squeezed Penelope's hand and she smiled towards me. The love they had for one another was like something out of the fairytale books I have read before. I hope one day I would be able to find that as well.

"So I was thinking that maybe you girls would be my next test subjects for a beautiful hair growth potion" Garreth smiled as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders.

"No thank you Garreth I enjoy having my hair. The last time I tried one of the other hair potions you gave me my hair turned blue for a week" I laughed trying to picture her with bright blue hair. Penelope was short so with blue hair she'd probably would be easier to find.

"Oh come on that was only once" Garreth pouted.

"No way Wendy has really pretty hair already I won't let you ruin it" she chuckled.

"Maybe we can make you a red head P" he smirked towards her. I watched Penelope make a funny face at Garreth. Their sibling dynamic was very funny. One would never be able to tell they've only been together less than 2 years.

"Hey white hair is the best. It's unique and a very  beautiful trait to have" Jasper wrapped his arm around Penelope.

"You're only saying that because your hair is white too" Garreth leaned in closer as well as Jasper.

"Well it seems to drive the girls at the school crazy Garry" he chuckled.

"Well so does red hair. Do you know how many girls drool over Artie huh? Jaspy" Penelope chuckled and I laughed about Garreth needing to mention Arthur in this situation, but he wasn't wrong the girls swooned over Arthur in our common room.

"That's right" Arthur joined in on the fun. "They practically faint at the sight of me" Arthur chuckled. I've never seen him act this way for as long as I've known him. I guess when he's with them he really lets loose.

"Oh please I think Sebastian's charm is rubbing off on you" Jasper laughed.

Ominis POV

"Why are you mad?" Sebastian asked in a rather rough tone. "I see it on your face"

"I'm not mad why are you mad?" I asked him. "I can hear it in your voice"

"I'm not" he huffed as we continued walking behind the group.
