Beautiful Melodies Part 2

As Mr. Pan and Wendy came out I opened my mouth when I saw the violin. It looked exactly as it did the day my father had given it to me. I felt tears form in my eyes as I held it in my hands.

"Thank you" I said as I held it close to my chest.

"Thank you Henry how much do I owe you?" Mother asked.

"Don't be absurd Delilah. You owe me nothing" he smiled. "Oh one more thing" Mr. Pan nodded towards Wendy.

I saw Wendy holding a beautiful bow in her hands and held it out towards me. "I made it. I thought it would make a wonderful gift for you Penelope." I saw the beautiful engraving of vines and sunflowers. At the tip of the bow there was a carved out butterfly. I gasped at how beautiful it truly was.

"Wendy I can't accept this"

"Of course you can. It suits you. Think of it as a thank you for saving us during the dragon attack" she smiled as she placed it in my hands.

"I can't believe you made this.... It's stunning" I said as I watched Wendy blush and look away shyly.

"My golden snidget here has improved her skills at crafting instruments and fixing them. She truly has a musical touch" I turned my head slightly when I heard Sebastian give a low snicker.

"I.. I don't know what to say... thank you Mr. Pan and Wendy" I giggled as Wendy hugged me tightly.

"Well give it a go" Mr. Pan looked towards me. I then turned back slightly seeing everyone staring at me and I became a bit nervous.

"You got this my love" Ominis whispered as he gently caressed my hand before joining the others.

I took a deep breathe and played my mother's lullaby. I closed my eyes and imagined my family. My sisters making snarky remarks, and scolding me. I remembered the time my father screamed at me so badly I cried for and hour and they came into my room. I thought they would make fun of me but instead laid in bed with me not saying a word. They loved and cared about me.

I then imagined my father. He was rough and would hardly ever show us affection, but there were instances were he would let his soft side slip. I remember him acting like a horse and giving me piggy back rides. I heard our laughter and smiled at the beautiful memory.

I remembered my mothers warm embrace and gentle goodnight kisses. She was also tough on us but would show us how much she loved us everyday. I felt warm tears run down my cheek as her voice echoed in my head. Her beautiful voice singing her lullaby.

I smiled remembering how Kieran would run after me to keep me out of trouble. How'd he always tried to make me feel better. I finally imagined all of us together and happy. I stoped playing and opened my eyes slowly. I saw Jasper with tears streaming down his cheeks. Mother was wiping some away and Garreth and Arthur held warm smiles. Sebastian and Ominis also looked at me lovingly. Ominis held the necklace in his hand and I smiled realizing the song the necklaces have been playing was my mother's lullaby.

"That was marvelous Penelope" Mr. Pan clapped.

"It really was" Wendy also wiped away some tears from her face.

"Thank you" I said softly.

"One more!" Sebastian said loudly while Ominis punched his arm.

I laughed and got ready for one more song. This time I played an upbeat song to lift everyone's spirits. I laughed as I sang and started to dance a bit. I then heard Wendy start playing next to me with a beautiful flute. Jasper chuckled and sat in front of the piano. Once he started playing Wendy quickly twirled her wand in her hand and all the instruments started playing on their own. I smiled and looked across the room listening to the beautiful melody that played. Arthur grabbed mother and started to dance with her. Sebastian grabbed Ominis but he pushed him away, so Garreth grabbed Sebastian and started jumping and spinning around the room.
