Outside of Saint-Jacques Public Elementary School, Othiteka and Aria were walking home together.

Othiteka: How was your day, sweetie?

Aria: It was good, daddy.

Othiteka: Good to hear. Let's go pick up your brother. He should be out of school by now.

Aria: Okay. *They both walk to Michael's school. At Middle School François Couperin, in Mrs. Ball's class, Mrs. Ball went through the last bit of the history lesson. *

Mrs. Ball: Now, before you all go home today, I have a little history assignment for you all to do, this requires a group effort.

Grace: Groups, seriously?

Alice: Mrs. Ball, clearly doing a group project assignment is no fun. Don't you think doing a pair project is better?

Mrs. Ball: Not this time, Alice. Doing a group project can be an experience for you all. Just working together and making sure you all do most of the work, no one should do a project by themselves, otherwise that won't be fair at all.

Alice: (annoyed) 'Typical.'

Mrs. Ball: Your project is making a famous landmark from a country, talk about that landmark; you know interesting facts we don't know about a landmark. *A student raised her hand. * Yes, Janet?

Janet: What if you do an Eiffel Tower? Does that count as a landmark?

Mrs. Ball: No, no. No one will be doing the Eiffel Tower, we already know what the Eiffel Tower is. Same with the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe.

Patrick: Aw, I wanted to do the Louvre. I love the Louvre.

Jasmine: And I've been to the Arc de Triomphe too.

Mrs. Ball: I wrote down a list of famous landmarks on the board for you to choose from. *She pulled the screen down and revealed the list of landmarks on the board. * There's the Statue of Liberty, The Great Pyramid of Giza, Big Ben, Sydney Opera House, Golden Gate Bridge, Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Colosseum, Mount Rushmore, Stonehenge, Christ of Redeemer, etc. those are the other landmarks in the world.

Will: That's a lot to list and memorize.

Mrs. Ball: Now onto the group partners. First is Simone, Marius, and Stella. You pick your landmark.

Marius: We'll do Statue of Liberty.

Mrs. Ball: (writing down the landmark) Okay, group 1: Statue of Liberty. Group 2: Michael, Zachary, and Axel. What landmark will you do?

Zachary: (whispers to Michael) Let's do Big Ben.

Michael: We'll do Big Ben.

Mrs. Ball: (writing down the landmark) Okay group 2: Big Ben. Group 3, Sarah, Olivia, and Alice.
