Maris, Ripley, and Luke are released from the stage two realms, given Bluemist for their injuries, and released onto platforms in the center of the acidic water (which will burn). The other six apprentices are spread out around them on platforms. Maris, Ripley, and Luke accidentally choose to survive on the same island.
In this encounter, you are not fighting each other. You are trying to survive on the island all alone. Remember this island is basically a huge landfill infested with tetanus and broken glass, it's overridden with broken objects and rotted out objects, it also has constant tornados 24/7 that sweep through the entire island and destroy everything in their path.
