~Clint~

Tony and I had been texting for a couple weeks after that night. We hadn't had a chance to see each other because of our schedules. We finally found a day for him to come to the apartment. I however had forgotten about this. I was napping when he showed up. I shot up when a dip in the couch disturbed me. He laughed a little and shook his head. "Already tired?" I shake my head and wipe my face. "No, I'm definitely awake now" I moved to sit next to him. "How'd you get in?" he shrugged "Natasha let me in". I cursed her under my breath before standing. "What do you want to do tonight?" he stood "Get dressed. I have something planned. Casual". I nodded and went upstairs. I firgure it was casual since he was in a t-shirt and jeans. After going back downstairs, my phone started ringing. I answer without looking as I was pulling on tennis shoes. "Barton" I heard my brother laugh "Swamped with work recently?". I rolled my eyes "What do you want?" he sighed "I'm bored. What are you doing tonight?". I laughed "A date, you're on your own tonight". He gasped while I was tying my shoe "With who?". I didn't answer for a second and glanced at Tony. "Hang on" I put him on speaker "What?". He yelled this time "Who are you going on a date with? Why did I only find out about this now? Usually Natasha knows and tells me".

I looked at him and he shrugged "Someone that was at the bar a couple weeks ago. I didn't tell Nat, but she let him in. She's probably heading to your house now to fill you in". He sounded like he was moving around a lot "Tony Stark? Surprised you can pull someone like that". I huffed "Shut up dick head. How'd you guess on the first try?". He laughed "Your best friend tells me everything". I nodded as I stood and grabbed my phone "Alright, I gotta go. I'm about to leave". he sighed "Fine. I'll see you tomorrow ok? Love ya". I nodded "Yeah tomorrow. Love ya too". I hung up and put my phone in my pocket. "Who was that?" he looked a little worried. I shook my head "My brother, Barney. He's intrusive on my life and interrogates Nat about my love life. She happily tells on me". He laughed before nodded "Sounds about right. Didn't know you had a brother". I shrug "Not something that comes up at the bar. I don't like telling anything personal up there since there's unwanted ears listening a lot of the time". He nodded as we left the apartment "I get that. I have a lot of unwanted ears too". I smiled "I assumed so with your status". He nodded and pressed the down button for the elevator "Yeah. Since you didn't really know who I was at first, I felt like you weren't trying to be nice because of it". I shake my head "Even if I did know somebody's status and they were an asshole, I would still call them an asshole".

He laughed as we got into the elevator. It was silent on the way to his car. He opened the door for me "How polite of you". He shrugged "I am a gentlemen" I shook my head as I got in. As soon as he got in the car, he started it up. "So where is this date that I had to dress casual for?" he smiled "A surprise place". I nodded skeptically and he turned his attention back to the road "Don't worry. You'll like it". He drove for a while. He turned onto a desolate road and drove for about 2 miles. I was worried I would be killed and my body would be hidden, but I wasn't sure. He stopped the car and we both got out. He handed me a blindfold and I looked at him unsure. "If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it already". I knew it made sense, but anybody could just wait for the right moment. I put the blindfold on anyway. I was going to be killed whether or not I could see him, so it didn't really matter. He grabbed my hand and pulled me through the trees. I only knew this since I kept tripping on roots. He finally stopped and removed the blindfold while standing behind me. The sight in front of me made me never want to leave. It was a clear area with only the stars lighting it. I looked at the table sitting in the middle and was met with junk food and a laptop. "Damn" he laughed before pulling me over to the table. "You didn't seem like one that would like big expensive dinners or crowds. I figured I could do something private and small" I nodded "You asked Nat then?". He paused before nodding "Yep, but I still figured you wouldn't like the attention".

I sat on the edge of the table next to where he was standing "Good call Mr Stark". He turned quickly and stood between my legs "Already pulling out the last names Barton?". I shrugged "Depends on how well i'm treated". He hummed "Fair enough, but we have a movie to watch". He whispered this before reaching around me and grabbing the laptop. He would have signal in the middle of nowhere. The Beekeeper started playing, but I wasn't really paying attention. I had spun to sit with my knees pulled up on the table, while Tony was next to me with his legs dangling over the side. I moved to straddle him, making him jump in surprise. "Thought we were going to watch the movie first?" I pulled him foward to connect our lips. His hands went up the back of my shirt, pulling up my shirt slightly. I felt a little selfconscious, but I figured it was hard to see anyway. The flash of a camera made up both jump. He pulled off his jacket "Pull the hood up. It'll make it easier for you to work if they don't know. If you don't care about peace, you don't have to pull it up". He said this while putting the jacket on me. I pulled the hood up and hid my face while multiple photos were being taken. Tony pulled out his phone and sent someone a message as we left quickly. He turned on the headlights quickly to throw off the camera before speeding away from the area. I could see the frustration written all over his face as he drove. "Thanks" he glanced at me as I said this "What?". I smiled at his oblviousness "Thanks for the jacket and for trying to make it private". The corner of his mouth lifted as he nodded "I'm glad you liked it".

I got signal soon after that and my phone blew up. I sighed as I saw Nat's text. 'You straddling Tony is all over the news. Can't see your face though, so they're calling you a mystery fling. such assholes' I smiled to myself as I read this. "They can't identify me. I'm being called your mystery fling" he laughed dryly "The media can shove it. They only ever seem to catch the end of my relationships and be the reason my relationships end". I shook my head with a smile "I'm honored to be your mystery fling anyway". He smiled "Sure. We'll go with fling". We both scanned outside the apartment building before we made our way up to my apartment. As soon as I got inside, Nat was waiting and had a news channel on. I looked at the photos that were displayed on the screen. The bottom of the burn scar from the fire was showing a bit on my back. "Tony Stark's mystery lover seems to have a scar going up into his shirt. No photo of his face was captured. Why is this relationship being kept a secret? Why doesn't Tony Stark reveal who he is?" it changed to the guy that took the photos being interviewed. "I noticed his car. It was a dead giveaway that he was out here. I was trying to hunt, which is why I had a camera. Helps me know the active spots in the woods. I saw them kissing and knew I had to get a photo. The flash was on, so they knew and Stark gave him his jacket to hide his face. I think he might be embarassed about whoever it is. I mean if there's that scar on his back, maybe there's one on his face too".

Tony scoffed "Should've known they were going to try to play that one across". Nat smiled "Well, as much as I enjoy seeing my best friend straddle a celebrity, I would appreciate a less suggestive position on your next date. Just in case". My phone was now ringing and I answered to hear Barney "Dude. Your ass is all over the news". I nodded "Yeah, I figured that out". He laughed "This is amazing. I'm enjoying this". I rolled my eyes "Bet you are" Nat took my phone. "This is the best thing to ever happen if i'm being honest. I have never been more pleased with a photo being spread around of Clint" I smiled a little. "Put it on the charger after you get done talking to my brother" she gave me a thumbs up and Tony walked with me up to my room. "Well, this was an interesting turn of events" I nodded and leaned against the door frame. "Let me know if someone is bothering you. I know a scar can be a goot identifier" I could see him holding back from asking. "It's small. From a fire that burnt down our first house. It wasn't too bad, so we just had to remodel the kitchen. I was too closed to the stove when it happened and Barney had pulled me. Probably why it isn't worse than it actually is" he nodded, and I could see the curiosity disappear. "I'll see you later. As soon as you have another free day let me know" I nodded before he kissed me and left. I watched him go out the front door as he waved to Nat. I knew I would be seeing him and paparazzi again. I knew they came as a package deal, but I was willing to risk it for him. No more living in the shadows and laying low for me after they figure out who I am.

AN: That's all for this chapter. Sorry about not posting recently. Been working on a pretty long chapter. There's a lot I need to fit into it, but I have a little writer's block in that chapter specifically. Figured I could go ahead and post the part two as requested. Hope you enjoyed!
