124: Untapped Potential

Normal P.O.V

It was the finally the day before the MagicMania tournament begins, also known as the qualification day, where the qualification round takes place.

A qualification round is a round where all the participating guilds get an equal and fair chance to punch their ticket for the main show of MagicMania, it was much like the preliminary round of the Grand Magic Games.

The main tournament was about to be held on the newly discovered island in the Cloud Sea, which was between Clover and Fiore, and hence it was named as the Clo-Fi island.

Every guild which wished to participate and were already registered, had all been gathered at Gull Port of Motor City in Fiore. The Gull Port was brimming with strong wizards gathered in the place.

Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, Mermaid Heel, Blue Pegasus, Quatro Cerberus, Twilight Ogre and many more, even Everlasting Fangs.

“This place is full of weaklings, good lord... This is gonna be a snoozefest.” Ursula said as Seth and his team had arrived.

“Quite.” Seth spoke.

Gems's heart was running at a fast rate, because he knew he might come face to face with Fairy Tail... And hopefully Gray. His face was covered but, underneath that mask, he was hiding his true feelings. 

Gems looked here and there to look for some familiar faces, which he truly cared about.

The place was filled with wizards so it was hard to spot everyone.

‘Gray... Where are you?’ Gems thought. ‘I know you are here.’

“There.” Seth mumbled as he grabbed Gems by his shoulders and turned him around to his right. Gems's heartbeats increased and his eyes started to get wet, under the shining sun, there stood Gray with his other teammates, far from where they were currently standing.

Gems was clearly able to see Gray now, even in a crowded place like this.

“Gray...” Gems mumbled holding back tears and took a step towards Gray.

“Behave, Mask!” Seth spoke in an annoyed tone as his grip on Gems's shoulder tightened, stopping Gems in his track. Gems immediately got back to his position. “Focus!” Seth scolded.

“R-right!” Gems said while looking down.

“You're an S-Class wizard of our guild, so behave like one.” Gabbro said while rolling his eyes.

“Yeah, S-sorry.” Gems replied.

‘Gray... You made it to the team!’ Gems thought with happiness. He was happy that Gray was on the team. ‘You might not be able to feel me, but I can still feel you...’ he thought while touching his bite mark, which was covered with collars.

‘I miss you too Gray... I'll come back as soon as this is over... I promise.’ Gems took a deep breathe and tried his best to control his emotions.

There was a lot of commotion going on, until Princess Hisui arrived with her father, King Toma E. Fiore, and every wizard present their had their attentions diverted towards the royals.

“We appreciate every wizard, from every guild, present here right here. It shows the enthusiasm you wizards have in your heart regarding the whole tournament.” Hisui spoke and everyone listened to them.

Gems folded his hands and listened to Hisui talking.

“There is one goal, no matter who qualifies, that MagicMania trophy should come to Fiore, I leave that in the hands of you wizards from Fiore.” She said and everyone cheered in sync. Seth just rolled his eyes while having a smirk on his face.
