121: Gems's Death

Normal P.O.V

“Gems, don't take it on heart.” Lucy said as she tried comforting Gems. The glasses wearing boy just sighed in response.

“I try my best to leave the past behind me but it still finds its way back to haunt me. I am sick and tired.” Gems looked down, he was referring to the Seth situation but it also fit the current situation.

“Do you want to drink a coffee?” Lucy asked and Gems shook his head no.

Gray remained silent. He just sat next to Gems. He could feel that Gems was not feeling okay. He wanted to comfort Gems but he was waiting for the time when they would be alone.

Everyone in the guild resumed what ever they were doing but it was still a little awkward in there.

“You know what...” Gems got up and fixed his hair and clothes. “I am go gonna and get this job done. Sitting here won't help me clear my mind.” he added.

“You sure you wanna go? We can go home if you want.” Gray replied trying to stop Gems from going. But Gems shook his head no.

Everyone sighed.

“I'll see you guys around...” Gems mumbled knowing this was the last time he'd be seeing them for a while. He tried his best to maintain his posture. “See you, Gray.” he added.

“Be careful.” Gray replied.

“Yeah, you too.”

“Huh?”

“Good bye.”

“I'll be waiting.”

Gems didn't respond. His heart was not ready to leave. He didn't want to make it even more difficult. Gems looked down and avoided looking at Gray and his friends. It was hard for him to leave, but he had to take that step for the sake of his parents.

‘I'll be back Gray... I promise.’ Gems thought as he walked through the guild hall towards the exit, avoiding many guild members looking at him.

Gray was looking at Gems and he was feeling weird, which was not a good feeling. But he kept his trust in Gems. And he chose to believe in Gems, trying to stay positive.

“Today was a bit too much.” Gray sighed.

“Indeed.” Natsu replied.

Gems walked out of the guild hall while his eyes were starting to get wet. He took a deep breathe and controlled his emotions. ‘Control Gems...control your emotions... I'm about to get one step closer to mom and dad... I can do this.’ Gems thought to himself while taking a deep breathe.

Gems turned around and looked at the guild hall one last time before he went for his mission. It was the guild that gave him shelter when he needed it the most, but Seth wasn't all wrong either.

“Requip: Believix!”

Gems requipped into his Believix and took flight. Without wasting any second, Gems flew towards the train tunnels in the mountain regions. Gems swallowed a lump when he saw the creepy looking place.

‘I can do it, there's no going back now.’ Gems thought as he went inside the dark creepy tunnel after a small pause.

Gems had watery eyes while flying towards his destination and all he could think of was Gray and his other friends, but he also had a rage in him which was caused by Juvia and the mistreatment he had to face in Fairy Tail.

Gems's body stiffened when he spotted Seth standing on the designated meet up spot.

Gems just hoped that this wasn't a trap to just lure him in because he was actually putting his trust on to Seth, an enemy of him and his parents.
