3rd Person POV

After a successful battle with Ripper Roo, they ventured inside an ancient city. Although this city may seem old , that doesn't mean it was set up with dangerous traps and monster lurking inside. Including the sliding stones, bats, and vicious lizards.

After breezing through the city, they moved inside an ancient temple. The temple, now left in time, was dark and grim with still-lit torches to leave a small hint of light. And just like the ancient city, there were also small platforms with spear traps and squishing stone traps to eliminate any intruders.

"This place is so dark, and I don't like it," Eve whimpered.

"Melo..." Meloetta said with a scared nod.

"Hold on. Let me just..." (Y/N) said as she raised up her staff, making it shine a light, making the area a bit brighter for everyone's sight, though the light's range was a bit small.

"That helps. Let's get going," Crash said.

Everyone then proceeded through the dark temple with (Y/N)'s light serving as a guide. With the light's support, they were able to spot the traps easily, so that they would avoid harm's way. After surviving the dangers of the temple, everyone then found themselves outside in a foggy area with broken bridges ahead.

"Man. This place is so foggy, I can't see anything," Ash said.

"Pika..." Pikachu said.

"Well, it couldn't hurt to try to be careful for once," Goh said.

Crash went up ahead to the bridge. Suddenly, a wooden plank broke beneath him ,causing him to fall. Luckily, everyone caught up and grabbed him before he was about to fall. They struggled to pull him up until they finally got him to safety.

"What part of 'be careful' do you not understand?!" Goh scolded the dog.

"My bad," Crash said sheepishly.

While taking Goh's words for advice, they proceeded to move across the bridges while looking out for broken planks. There were also glass bridges as well that may look like they were on the verge of cracking and breaking apart but actually don't. With planks that are too far from each other, (Y/N)  used her magic to create a bridge to help  herself and the others cross easily.

After going through the dangerous bridges, they moved back to the ground. Unfortunately, they had to survive the giant boulders rolling after them again. This time, they had to run and jump across even more dangerous platforms.

"Ugh... When will this madness end?!" Eve groaned in frustration.

Luckily, with the heroes keeping their wits about themselves, they survived the treacherous boulders once again. Afterward, they went into an are that was almost the same as the ancient city. This area, however, had platforms that were a bit trickier than the last.

After breezing through the vista, they went into a mine. The mine was packed with rolling mine carts and glistening crystal lying around. Suddenly, they spotted a muscular koala in the distance.

"Hey! What are you chumps doing here?" He said.

"Oh, sorry about that. We're just passing by. That's all," Goh said.

"'Passing by'? Tch. As if!" The koala said, not buying Goh's explanation. "I bet you're trying to steal all the ore before Cortex does."

The others were left in shock after hearing the name Koala Kong mentioned.

"D-Did he just say 'Cortex'?" (Y/N) mumbled.

"Guess so," Crash said.

"Don't even think I'll allow you doin' something stupid! Not when Koala Kong's still standing!" Koala Kong said.

He then went to pick up a boulder from somewhere and threw it at the gang, causing them to move out of the way before it hit the ground, breaking apart. He kept this up for a bit until he picked up a slightly heavier boulder from somewhere and threw it at the others, making them doge again. This time, the boulder was durable. Then, Koala Kong began to flex.

"Okay. Aaaand he's showing off," Eve said, unimpressed.

Suddenly, an idea popped up in Crash's head. He went up to the boulder and hit, making it fly towards Koala Kong and hit him in the face.

"You little...!" Koala Kong growled.

Everyone took a moment to recognize Crash's strategy until they finally figured it out and began to follow. As it happened, Koala Kong continued to throw boulders at the gang. Though for the heroes, it won't be easy thanks to the TNT's falling from above. As they avoided the explosions, they continued to deflect the durable boulders back at Koala Kong until they finally defeated him.

"Phew. And that's that!" Ash said.

"Pika!" Pikachu chimed in.

"I still can't believe that guy knows Cortex. Is he working for him?" Eve pondered.

"Melo..." Meloetta said while shaking its head.

"Well, whatever the case, Cortex shouldn't have gone too far. So, let's go!" (Y/N) said.
