Chapter 90

3rd Person POV
The gang flew in the gummi ship to a world that was darker than the rest. It was filled to the brim with darkness.

"Gawrsh, is that all that's left of the worlds taken by the Heartless?" Goofy asked.

"Those worlds will be restored if we defeat Ansem, right?" Sora asked.

"You betcha," Donald said.

"Then, the worlds will be restored and disconnected. But if so, what about this place? And us?" (Y/N) asked.

"Well, uh..." Donald said, trying to find the answer.

"This is a world for only the Heartless. So, maybe it'll be gone, too," Eve said. "But that's okay. Even if this world disappears, the same won't happen to our hearts. I'm sure we'll find Riku and the king somewhere. I just know it!"

"Yeah, you're right," Sora said. He then looked down at the lucky charm Kairi gave him. 'I'll return this. I promise,' he thought.

As they moved forward, they noticed a giant dark orb levitating above them. Suddenly, it began to drop, sucking them in and transporting them to somewhere else. That place was filled with Heartless, causing the gang to fight them off to continue. Afterward, they got out of the giant dark orb.

As they continued to move forward, the same pattern from earlier began to repeat. Getting sucked in by a giant orb, fight off a bunch of Heartless, and escape the dark orb. As they progressed, each Heartless was stronger than the previous. This cycle continued until they reached a completely different area. It was a dark cave that progressed downwards.

"I wonder where that Ansem feller went?" Goofy asked.

"Dive into the most dangerous place and we'll find him!" Donald said.

The group then began to dive to find the place in the cave that struck out as "the most dangerous." After a while of looking, they found a portal and hopped in.

Suddenly, they've been transported to areas in worlds they had been to before. The first was Traverse Town. There, the Heartless were about to attack in hordes. As soon as the Heartless were already taken out, the gang was then sent to  Wonderland with Heartless standing in their way. This cycle repeated at the Coliseum, the jungle, and other worlds. The cycle ended once they reached a dark void. There, they encountered a demonic monster.

As the gang attacked, the devilish monster began to breathe fire and attack with its powerful claws. It even began to use dark magic to counter. However, even with all the strength the devilish monster had, it was no match against the power (Y/N) had over it. Thus, the monster was defeated spectacularly.

Then, as soon as the monster disappeared, a platform that resembled a dark cave appeared below. The gang immediately landed down to the cave and pressed onward. Of course, it wouldn't be easy for them since there were a bunch of Heartless lurking around the cave, allowing them to counterattack as they continued. Then, sometime later, they came across a strange door.

"Careful. This is the last haven you'll find here," a voice said to Sora and (Y/N). "Beyond, there is no light to protect you. But don't be afraid. Your heart is the mightiest weapon of all. Remember, you are the one who will open the door to the light."

"Strange... That voice was so familiar. Maybe it's just my imagination," Sora said.

"I don't hear anything," Donald said. "Maybe you'd better take a rest!"

"Do you hear it, Mama?" Eve asked (Y/N).

"Yeah. I think I do," (Y/N) said.

"Whaaat?!" Donald said, shocked.
