Chapter 76

3rd Person POV
(Y/N) and Eve found themselves somewhere on an island after going out the door.

"Where are we?" (Y/N) said.

"Are we on a beach or an island...?" Eve asked, puzzled.

"Hey. Did you two end up washed up on the island, too?" Another feminine voice asked. The two turned around and saw a girl with short, dark red hair and blue eyes.

"Uh... maybe?" (Y/N) said.

"Thank goodness. I was worried that we were the only ones here," the red-haired girl said. "Oh, right. Sorry about that. My name is Kairi."

"I'm (Y/N)," (Y/N) introduced herself. "And this here is Eve."

"Hi!" Eve said to Kairi.

Kairi was curious about Eve's dragon form. "Hello. Sorry to ask this, but what are you?" She asked Eve.

"I'm actually a dragon," Eve said.

"Really? I thought dragons exist in fairy tales and stuff," Kairi said.

"Crazy, right? We get that a lot," (Y/N) said.

"Yeah," Kairi said. "Oh, yeah. If you guys were wondering, Sora ended up washed up on the beach, too."

"Sora? Who's that?" (Y/N) said.

"He and Riku are friends of mine. I can take you to meet them if you want," Kairi said.

"That would be nice," (Y/N) said.

"Great. Follow me," Kairi said. (Y/N) and Eve then followed her to meet her two friends. As they kept moving, they spotted a boy with brown spiky hair sleeping.

"So, is that one of your friends?" Eve asked.

"Yeah," Kairi said as she got closer to the boy. The napping boy then got up and was about to lay back down but was startled by Kairi's presence, making the girls giggle.

"Give me a break, Kairi," the boy said as he turned to Kairi until he noticed (Y/N) and Eve.

"Sora! You lazy bum, I knew I'd find you snoozing down here," Ksiri teased. She then noticed Sora looking at (Y/N) and Eve. "Oh, right. These are (Y/N) and Eve. They washed up on the beach just like you did."

She then turned to the duo. "(Y/N), Eve. This is Sora," she said as Sora got up.

"Hey there. Nice to meet you," Sora said.

"Nice to meet you, too," (Y/N) said.

Kairi then turned to Sora. "By the way, Sora, why were you sleeping on the beach?" She asked.

"No! This huge, black THING swallowed me up! I couldn't breathe! I couldn't–" Sora said until he was cur off by (Y/N).

"I had a dream like that, too," (Y/N) said, surprising Sora and Kairi.

"Y-You did?" Sora asked. (Y/N) nodded.

"You mean the part where you have to fight that big thing, and creatures with yellow eyes? And after defeating them, they turn into–" Sora said before (Y/N) said the next thing with him.

"Black puffs of smoke," she said. "Yeah. THAT dream."

"What was that place...? So bizarre..." Sora commented, looking down, confused.

"I wish I knew..." (Y/N) said, also looking down.

"Hey, Kairi," Eve said. "What's it like where you came from?"

"I don't really remember," Kairi said, shocking Eve.

"You don't remember?!" Eve said.

"Yeah," Kairi said. "I just can't seem to picture what it looked like. What about you two?"

"It's just... kind of a normal town. Nothing really exciting for me, to be honest," (Y/N) said.

"You ever wanna go back?" Sora asked.

Kairi hummed. "Well, I'm happy here," she said.

"Really...?" Sora asked, puzzled.

"But you know, I wouldn't mind going to see it," Kairi said.

"I'd like to see it, too!" Sora said.

"See what?" (Y/N) asked.

"Kairi and I were planning on seeing other worlds," Sora answered.

"Sounds fun!" Eve said.

"I wanted to see other worlds when I was a kid," (Y/N) said.

"Then, we can go see other worlds together!" Kairi said.

"Really? With you guys?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah! It wouldn't hurt having more people in," Sora said.

"Well, as long as you guys are cool with it, then, sure!" (Y/N) said.

"Sora! Kairi!" A voice called out. They turned and saw a boy with silver hair carrying a large chunk of wood.

"Aren't you guys forgetting about me?" He said. He then noticed (Y/N) and Eve. "And who are they?"

"They're (Y/N) and Eve," Sora said.

"Hey there. Name's Riku," Riku introduced himself.

"Hello, Riku!" Eve said with a wave.

"Guess I'm the only one working on the raft," Riku said after dropping the wood on Sora. He then looked at Kairi. "And you're just as lazy as he is."

"So, you noticed," Kairi declared while putting a hand on her hip. "Okay. We'll finish it together! I'll race ya!" She then ran towards the raft.

"Huh?" Sora said, puzzled.

"You kidding?" Riku said as he and Sora ran to the raft as well.

"Hey! Wait for us!" (Y/N) said before she and Eve tried catching up with the others.
