While (Y/N) and Eve were having a stroll by the shore, the (H/C)-ette suddenly heard the sound of thunder rolling in.
"Yikes. Looks like it's about to rain. Let's get some shelter, Eve," she said.
The two then hurried under a small cave somewhere.
"Phew... That was a close one," Eve said.
"No kidding," (Y/N) said. Then, a small hint of nostalgia flowed through her. "Y'know... This kinda brings back a funny memory."
"What kind, mama?" Eve asked.
"When I was little, I used to watch part of a movie where the character started singing in the rain. I thought, 'Hey. Maybe I should give it a try sometime,'" (Y/N) explained. "One day, when the rain came down, I immediately went outside and started singing my favorite songs in the rain. But the teacher kinda caught me and quickly took me back inside. She scolded me right after to not go outside without any rain gear. But she told me she used to do that, too."
"Really? I bet that was a lot of fun!" Eve said.
"Yeah, it sure was," (Y/N) responded before looking out at the sky. She then noticed something off. "That's odd. The rain's not coming down yet."
"Hmm... Maybe it might take a little longer. Let's go check outside just in case," Eve said.
The two then went out of the cave and saw dark clouds covering the sky. (Y/N) held her hand out to check for rain, but not a single drop of rain fell.
"Maybe the rain's delayed," (Y/N) said.
Suddenly, right when the girl and the dragon were heading back to the inside of the cave, the shadowy monster that appeared in (Y/N) and Sora's dreams appeared before them right out of the ground.
'Those monsters... They're the ones I saw in my dream,' (Y/N) said. She tried to send out her staff, but still, nothing happened.
'Come on! Come out already!' She thought frustratingly as she tried to summon her staff, but still, nothing happened.
Then, one of the dark monsters went in to attack her. Suddenly, Eve transformed to her human form and punched away the monster before it got the chance to lay a finger on her.
"Eve!" (Y/N) said.
"I got this, Mama!" Eve said before fighting off the rest of the monsters.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) saw a stick nearby. She picked it up and went next to Eve. "I just wish I could change my choices from my dream..." She mumbled to herself before she and Eve began to fight the monsters.
(Y/N) and Eve went back to fighting the monsters until all of them were gone.
"Mama? Why can't you get your staff out?" Eve asked before reverting to her dragon form.
"I wish I knew the answer myself..." (Y/N) said.
"Anyway! Let's go look for Kairi and the others! Hopefully, they're safe!"
"Yeah! Let's go!" (Y/N) said before she and Eve took off.
It took a bit for them to reach the inside of a strange cave. There, they saw Kairi standing in front of a knobless door. The door had a strange large golden key on it.
"Kairi!" (Y/N) called out to her. "Good thing you're alright! We gotta get out of here and meet up at the tree!" Kairi didn't respond. She was standing motionless with her eyes dull and lifeless.
"Kairi?" Eve said.
Kairi turned around, her eyes still lifeless, and reached out her hand before muttering the name of one of her friends. "Sora..." she said.
"Kairi!" A voice called out. (Y/N) and Eve turned around and saw Sora.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and a gust of dark wind blasted Kairi away. (Y/N) and Sora were about to catch her, but somehow, she phased right through them.
"Kairi!!" (Y/N), Sora, and Eve called out. Then, the dark wind blasted them out of the cave.
After being forced out of the cave, they ended up somewhere else where the storm was still visible. They looked down and saw that they might be somewhere in the sky.
"This is not looking good..." Eve said.
Then, a "THUD!" was felt. They turned around and saw the bigger monster they both saw in their dreams, towering above them.
"It's that monster again!" Sora said. Suddenly, a giant key appeared in each of their hands. They looked at each other and nodded and prepared themselves to defeat the monster.
The monster first went in for the strike, but (Y/N) and Sora dodged and countered, remembering the monster's strategy with Eve supporting them. It took a while until it was defeated. Suddenly, to their confusion, the void above them sucked up the monster. Then, the void tried to absorb them, too. They tried to hold on to something, but it didn't work. The void successfully absorbed them, sending them to... Well... Who knows...
