Chapter 112

3rd Person POV

The last area to go to was behind the big gate blocking the way to the haunted mansion. Lucky for the heroes, it opened, paving the way inside. Once they went in, the area was more than just a haunted house. It was also an eerie graveyard. Not only a bunch ghosts roam here, but also skeleton monsters as well.

"So, this is the place..." Ash said.

"Yeah. Looks like it," Pac-Man said.

"It's pretty creepy. Kinda fits the ghosts and Toc-Man very well," (Y/N) said, creeped out by the area's atmosphere.

"No kidding," Goh said, also fearful.

"Pika-pika!" Pikachu spoke to Meloetta.

"Etta!" Meloetta responded with a nod.

"Well, no time to waste. Let's get a move on!" Eve said.

Everyone then began to move throughout the scary graveyard to look for Pac-Man's wife. This haunted area was a lot more dangerous than any other area the heroes ever came across. There were faced stones throwing flames, worn-out coffins ready to drop on the heroes if they end up standing on them for too long, and bats ready to drop bombs on them. Luckily, the gang was still standing strong and determined. Finally, they found Pac-Man's beloved in a cage. She was wearing red boots and a cute red bow on her head.

"Dear! It's you! Help me!" She said.

"I got it, ma'am! Just stand back!" (Y/N) said. She then went to the cage and destroyed it, breaking Mrs. Pac-Man out.

"Honey! Are you okay?" Pac-Man asked.

"Thank you so much, darling! You deserve a kiss!" Mrs. Pac-Man said before kissing her husband on the cheek, making blush sheepishly.

"Alright. Time to get you back with the others. Everyone's waiting!" Eve said.

(Y/N) then began to use her magic to teleport Mrs. Pac-Man out of the area to reunite with the other family members.

"Great! Now we've found everybody!" Goh said.

"Yeah. Now, there's just one thing left we gotta do," Ash said.

"Yeah. Take the fight to Toc-Man, and it'll all be over for sure!" (Y/N) said.

"Then, we know what to do! Let's go!" Pac-Man said.

Everyone then continued onward until they came across a large door. Meanwhile, from the other side, a bunch of ghosts gathered around, about to throw a party.

"Hello, everyone! He has arrived! Our Hero! The one and only Pac-Man!" Clyde said.

Then, the top of the higher stage began to rise, revealing Toc-Man.

"Heya! Looks like it's my turn! Here's Pac-Man!" Toc-Man said, making the crowd cheer.

Then, the gang then began to open the door, seeing the commotion going on.

"Melo?" Meloetta said, curious.

"What's going on?" Eve asked.

Suddenly, the ghosts turned around and took a look at the gang, specifically Pac-Man.

"Wooooow! It's Pac-Man!" They said before going up to him.

"What...?" Ash said, confused.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said, also confused.

"To be frank, I was not expecting this sort of outcome," (Y/N) said.

"Where are you fools going?" Toc-Man said before he noticed his archnemesis. "Pac-Man! You..." He then jumped off the stage, making all the ghosts run away.

"This ends right here, right now!" He then yelled before shooting bullets out of his fingers, making the heroes quickly dodge. Pac-Man took a leap and bounce on Toc-Man's head three times.

Toc-Man tried to retaliate by shooting more bullets, but it was never enough to ensure his victory. Everyone began to overpower him. (Y/N) threw a Lovely Swing at him, Eve performed a Shooting Star Kick, Pikachu did a Volt Tackle, Meloetta sung with its Alluring Voice, and Pac-Man kept bouncing. At this point, Toc-Man was getting angrier. He took out a Metal Pellet and ate it, turning his whole body into steel.

"Ugh! Seriously?!" Eve groaned. "Why can't he just play fair?!"

Toc-Man then began to bounce on the heroes, but the gang avoided, making Toc-Man create shockwaves on the ground instead. This repeated for a bit until he got on the stage.

"Fire!" He yelled, making the cannons from under the stage fire cannonballs at the gang. (Y/N) and Eve quickly formed a shield to block them. 

Suddenly, Pac-Man saw a Metal Pellet fire from one of the cannons. He then ran up to the Pellet while dodging all the cannons.

"Pac-Man?" Eve said, worried.

Luckily, Pac-Man gobbled up the Metal Pellet and turned his body into steel. Then, as soon as Toc-Man jumped off the stage, he then used his own bounce attack again. Once he stopped, Pac-Man proceeded to bounce on him three times. While the others continue to dodge and block cannonballs, Pac-Man and Toc-Man repeated the process until Toc-Man's Metal Pellet wore off.

"You... You idiots think you've won...? I'M FAR FROM FINISHED WITH YOU!" Toc-Man said before taking out two Power Pellets. He then pushed then towards each other, creating a larger Power Pellet. As soon as he ate it, his entire body grew in size.

"Oh, snap! He's way too huge!" Goh panicked. "How are we supposed to fight him now?"

"Etta.." Meloetta whimpered.

Pac-Man took a look at Toc-Man to figure out away, but there was nothing special. So, he decided that they all had one option left.

"Looks like we'll have to give him everything we got!" He said.

"Well... If you're going to result to that, they that's fine by me. Let's go, guys!" (Y/N) said.

As Toc-Man began to stomp towards the gang while creating shockwaves with his feet, Pikachu, Meloetta, and Eve proceeded to attack the left leg, making Toc-Man trip and fall on the ground. Pac-Man then went on top of Toc-Man's head and bounce on it, dealing damage. Toc-Man got back up soon after. Everyone else then understood the formula and decided to follow along to repeat. They had to attack one of Toc-Man's legs to have a chance to attack him on the head. The second damage attempt was made by (Y/N), and the last one was made by both Pac-Man and (Y/N), defeating Toc-Man... or so they thought.

As soon as everyone's guard was lowered, Toc-Man then went and punched Pac-Man, sending him flying towards a cake somewhere.

"Pac-Man!!" Everyone shouted with worry.

As the hungry hero tried to get up, he noticed a Power Pellet lying next to him. As Toc-Man was about to punch him again, he then leaped up at his archnemesis as he ate the Power Pellet, making himself transform into a bigger form. The two then began to battle for power, but Pac-Man remained victorious, allowing himself to bite Toc-Man whole. Then, after the battle, Toc-Man fell to the ground and exploded. Suddenly, to everyone's surprise, a grey ghost was inside, piloting Toc-Man the entire time.

"It's not fair! It's not fair at all!" The ghost said." Why doesn't anyone ever root for the ghosts?"

Pac-Man felt sorry for the ghost, seeing that he and the other ghosts don't get any appreciation. He then extended his hand out to the ghost, offering him a second chance.

"You'll forgive me?" The grey ghost asked before extending his out to Pac-Man's. "Thanks... Sorry for kidnapping your family and stuff."

"Huh. Wasn't expecting this kind of ending, but I'm cool with it," Eve said.

*timeskip*

Then, everyone, including red, blue, pink, orange, and grey ghosts, returned near Pac-Man's house to continue on with his birthday party.
