Chapter 141

After a short journey, the gang finally made it to Wind Ruins. This area was once a kingdom blessed by the flourishing winds, but due to the essence of time, it now lies abandoned as it fades to nothing but ruins of what it once was.

"So, this is Wind Ruins. It looks kinda... abandoned," (Y/N) said.

"Grandpa said that this place used to be the Wind Kingdom. But looking at it now, it feels like everyone forgot about it," Klonoa said.

"Etta," Meloetta said.

"That could explain it. It looks... sad and lonely. Like some kind of graveyard," Eve said.

"Well, we can start some archaeology later. Grandpa needs our help!" Huepow said.

"Right! Let's hurry!" Klonoa said.

Everyone then continued onward through the Wind Ruins. As Granny stated, the ruins were full of dangers, not just because of the crumbling rubble, but all of the monsters sent by Joka. Even lurking ghosts that still haunt the ruined kingdom to this day. This went on for a while until they finally made it out of the ruins. 

Afterward, the next shortcut to Breezegale was a cavern. The cave's air was at dropping temperatures due to the still-frozen icicles that stood through ages.

"T-This place is freezing cold... Has this place always been like this?" (Y/N) said, shivering.

"M-Maybe. I mean, I'm surprised none of the ice in here melted at all," Klonoa said, also shivering.

"S-So cold..." Huepow said.

"Etta..." Meloetta said.

"I... I don't care what this cave or Joka's got against us. All we have to do is charge on through until we blazed through completely!" Eve said. "Hang on, old man! We're on our way!!" She then ran ahead everyone else.

"Eve! Wait! You'll get lost in there!" (Y/N) said as she caught up with the small white dragon.

"Melo!" Meloetta said as she began to catch up as well.

Klonoa and Huepow began to grow worried as they shook off the cold and went to catch up with (Y/N) and others. 

The cold cavern not only has cold crystals and Joka's monsters, but also bones of large beasts that are strong, but brittle and holes with air flowing upwards. The air coming from the holes was strong enough to even lift multiple people at once. After a while of traversing the cold cave, they finally made it back to Breezegale. There, they saw Klonoa's grandfather sitting at the porch.

"Grandpa!" Klonoa called out. His grandfather responded with a wave.

"Phew... Thank goodness, we made it in time..." (Y/N) said in relief.

Suddenly, a large shadow loomed over everyone. They all looked up and saw a pair of airships flying overhead. One of them piloting one of the ships was none other than Joka. He then flew above to where Klonoa's grandfather was sitting. Afterward, he then set up a laser. The laser charged up before it fired, destroying the entire house.

"Oh, no...!" Eve said in horror.

Then, Joka's monster flew over the ruined house. With a push of a button, a light emerged from the little airship. Then, the Moon Pendant floated upwards and landed into the enemy's hands. The two then flew away.

"Etta!" Meloetta said

"The Moon Pendant! After them, quick!" (Y/N) said.

Everyone then rushed after the evil duo until they reached a wooden bridge at the other side of the village.
