Chapter 92

3rd Person POV
The gang made their way through Pleasant Path to reach Koopa Village. Though getting there wasn't simple since there were a lot of evil Koopas trying to block their path. Luckily, after a long walk, they finally reached the village. Once they arrived, they were greeted by a Koopa.

"Can it be...? Are you Mario? Welcome to Koopa Village!" The Koopa said. "I wish we could really welcome you, but we're in big trouble."

"'Trouble?' What kind of trouble?" Mario asked.

"Could you see what kind of madness is going on? This village is in an uproar because of the Fuzzies," the Koopa said.

"'Fuzzies?'" Eve said, tilting her head.

"They're small, dark, and mean guys. They're really naughty," the Koopa said.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a Fuzzy attacked the Koopa from above, taking away his shell.

"Oh, no! Stupid Fuzzy! Get back here with my shell!" The Koopa cried as he chased after the Fuzzy.

"Guess we better give them a hand," Goombario said.

Mario went up to the Fuzzy and whacked it with his hammer, causing the Fuzzy to drop the shell and flee.

The Koopa then put his shell back on. "Oh, thank you, Mario! I owe you one. I just can't walk around without my shell on. Talk about embarrassing!" He said. "Be sure to keep your shells safe from Fuzzies, alright?"

"We don't have shells, but thanks for the heads-up," (Y/N) said.

"... Oops. You guys don't have any. Well, watch your overalls and such," the Koopa said.

The gang then went to take care of the rest of the Fuzzies causing trouble around the village to help the other Koopas take back their stolen shells. They continued until all the Fuzzies present ran away. Suddenly, they noticed a certain house shaking. Eve went up to it and knocked on the door.

"Who's there? I'm kind of busy right now!" A voice from inside the house said. Then, the door opened to reveal a Koopa with an orange bandana around his neck who seemed to have lost his shell.

"What!? Wait... Could it be...?! Aren't you Mario!?" The Koopa said.

"Yep. That's me," Mario said.

"You are! My name's Kooper! Oh, I'm so psyched to meet you!" The Koopa said excitedly. "Us meeting here gotta be fate or something. I need a huge favor... I hope you'll help me out."

"What's the matter?" Goombario asked.

"This wild Fuzzy took my shell, which, next to my life, is the most important thing I have," Kooper explained. "I can't go out without my shell, period. Way too embarrassing. The problem is, the Fuzzies are too fast for me to catch alone. So if you don't mind, can you help me get my shell back? I'm begging you!"

"It looks like he's in a bad way. We ought to help him out," Goombario said.

"Okay. We'll do whatever we can to get your shell back," Mario said to Kooper. "So, where is it now?"

"The Fuzzy that took my shell is just inside my house," Kooper said. "I'll  guard the door while you grab him like: Whump!"

While Kooper was near the door, (Y/N) opened it and went inside. Then, the Fuzzy carrying Kooper's blue shell was there.

"Meeooooooork!" The Fuzzy said.

Mario rushed up to the Fuzzy and tried to whack it with his hammer, but it dodged and then escaped through the back door with Kooper's shell.

"He's getting away!" Goombario said.

"Get back here!" Eve yelled.

Everyone then gave chase to the thieving Fuzzy. As they ran, the Fuzzy went deeper into the forest with (Y/N) and co on its tail. The Fuzzy then hid in the trees.
