Chapter 142

As they got closer to the Temple of the Sun, Pamela could feel her body getting a tad bit weaker.

"I'm sorry. I don't think I can go where you're going with my body," she said.

"Oh, that's all right. Thank you," Klonoa said.

As soon as they made land to the temple, everyone else landed to the ground as Klonoa got off of Pamela's back.

"Well, I guess we're off, then," (Y/N) said.

"Everyone... Be careful," Pamela said before she left.

"Alright. Let's go!" Eve said.

Everyone then went forward through the entrance to the temple. As they got in, there were four pedestals standing in front of them, one of each different color.

"So, this is the Temple of the Sun," Klonoa said.

"Pretty impressive!" Huepow said.

"I hope no one minds us barging in like this," (Y/N) spoke.

"Klonoa! And... Huepow, (Y/N), Eve, and Meloetta, right?" A voice said. 

"We've been waiting. What took you so long?" Another voice said.

Everyone turned and saw a pair of priests being carried by small winged figures.

"Wh-Who are you?" Klonoa asked.

"I am Solare, Priest of Coronia, the Temple of the Sun," the first priest said.

"Yeah, ditto. Name's Soleil," the second priest spoke.

"Welcome," Solare said.

"Took you long enough," Soleil said.

"Etta..." Meloetta said.

Looks like they were expecting us," Klonoa said.

"I wonder why?" Huepow said.

"Hey, uh... Just one question. Did you see a bunch of weirdos pass by? One of them being a jester?" Eve asked.

"You've gotten straight to the point!" Solare said.

"Sure did!" Soleil said.

"Please take a look at this," Solare said.

Everyone then took a look at the four pedestals standing in front of them.

"Those 4 pedestals... An orb must be placed on each one to open the door to the altar. However, the orbs have all been taken by the followers of Ghadius," Solare said. 

"Who said they could do that?!" Soleil said.

"Unfortunately, we're not skilled in the art of combat," Solare said.

"He means we're wimps," Soleil said.

"Please... Can you help us retrieve the 4 orbs?" Solare asked.

"You think you're tough enough?!" Soleil said.

"We beg you!" Solare said. 

"Mess this up, and we'll make ya regret it!" Soleil said before both priests flew away.

"Wait! Hold it!" (Y/N) said. However, it was too late. The two priests were already gone.

"... What should we do?" Klonoa said.

"Wouldn't hurt to give it a try," Eve said. "Let's split up into two groups. Me and Meloetta can head on to the left while Mama and Klonoa go right.

"Sounds like a plan, but what if we get lost?" Huepow asked.
