Chapter 106

After retrieving the sixth Star Piece, Mario and others went back to Nimbus Castle to report about their successful retrieval of the Star Piece.

"Mom! Dad!" Mallow said.

"Were you able to find the star, dear?" Queen Nimbus asked.

"Yeah! The Axem Rangers took if from us, but... we got it back again!" Mallow said.

"That's wonderful! Now the Star--Uh-- Starway can be prepared, right?" King Nimbus asked.

"If only it were like that, but..." (Y/N) said.

"I guess not. You're... still missing a piece, I take it," King Nimbus said.

"Do you know where it is?" Eve asked.

"The last star... Wait! The only place left to look is in Bowser's Keep!" Queen Nimbus said.

"Yeah, we know. But.. there's no way to get in.. Believe me, we've tried, but..." Mallow said.

"Yes, yes. Even Mario can't jump THAT far," King Nimbus said until an idea popped up in his head. 'All right! I'll let you use the..."

"That's it, dear! You should use the royal bus!" Queen Nimbus said.

"The royal bus?" Ash said, confused.

"Yes, Mallow, the time has come for you to take the bus!" King Nimbus said. "Why, when I was your age..."

"Really?! Are you sure it's all right?" Mallow asked.

"Of course, dear," Queen Nimbus said. "I'll order the repair to have it fixed by the time you leave. You simply have to help Mario and the others get that last star!"

"You bet, Mom!" Mallow said. "Come on, guys--let's go!"

Everyone then went outside the castle to look for the royal bus that would take them to Bowser's Keep. After talking to the repair man, he said that the bus was fully repaired, and the royal bus arrived in time.

"So, how's the engine running?" The repair man asked the Lakitu.

"Oh, it's purring like a kitten!" The Lakitu said.

"Can you take Prince Mallow to the entrance to Bowser's Keep?" The repair man asked.

"Of course! Can't wait to get this thing running again! Come, Prince--hop on board," the Lakitu said.

Everyone, along with Mallow, hopped onto the royal bus.

"All aboard!" The repair man called out.

"We're off!" The Lakitu said. He then flew from Nimbus Land across the clouds until the royal bus finally reached Bowser's Keep. Everyone got of the royal bus and entered the castle.

"Ahhh... The scent of boiling lava... It's so nice to be home!" Bowser said. "Smithy's gonna pay for stealing my splendid castle from me!"

Everyone then pushed onward inside Bowser's castle. There many enemies, most of them being Bowser's minions, roaming around the castle. Most of them got scared and ran away due to Bowser's presence while some others stayed to fight, in which case, they were defeated.

The gang continued onward in Bowser's Keep until they came across six doors. They were challenges set up by Bowser's minions. They had three sets of courses. Two of them were action courses, two were battle courses, and the other two courses were puzzle courses. 

Once they reached a certain a rea after completing all challenges, they heard a laugh from somewhere.

"Who's there?" Mario said. Everyone looked up and saw a figure in large red armor standing on a chandelier with a Shy Guy strapped to it.
