Everyone watched in shock and horror as the dark orb rose up on the air.

"What have we done...?" Eve said.

"Etta..." Meloetta said in shock.

"This is not looking good..." (Y/N) said, worried.

"Poyo..." Kirby said

Then, the orb then flew up to the sky and away from everyone towards the moon.

"Oh, boy... Looks like we messed up big time," (Y/N) said.

After hearing this, King Dedede's nerve was struck. He then stomped to the others, frustrated.

"No doubt, y'all messed up! I kept tellin' y'all over and over that somethin' this was 'bout to happen, but y'all just let 'savin' the dreams of Dreamland' get to your heads, didn't ya?!" He yelled.

"Huh? Guess we did, but we didn't know it was true," Eve said.

"NO MORE EXCUSES!! So, y'all are gonna go out there..." King Dedede said as he grabbed, Kirby and others, along with the Star Rod. "... AND FIX THIS MESS!!" He then shouted as he threw everyone towards the dark orb.

As everyone was flying towards the dark orb, Kirby grabbed the Star Rod to use it as his weapon, and the battle began.

The dark orb began to attack by shooting dark stars at the gang, which led (Y/N) and Eve to block them with Iron Blossom and Diamond Shield. Once the time was right, Meloetta and Kirby was given the chance to shoot their Alluring Voice and bright stars at the dark orb. And when the shield was given enough damage, (Y/N) and Eve could attack as well while the only option left was to dodge.

Suddenly, while the battle raged on, the dark began to fly to the moon.

"Poyo!" Kirby said.

"It's getting away! After it, quick!" (Y/N) said.

Everyone then flew after the dark orb flying towards the moon. After they made land on the moon, they began to take a look around. The atmosphere was dark due to the influence of the dark orb.

"Where is it?" Eve asked.

"No idea. This place sort of suits it, considering the dark aura," (Y/N) said.

"Melo," Meloetta said.

Suddenly, a dark and sinister laugh began to ring from across the area.

"Poyo?" Kirby said.

"Who's there?" (Y/N) said.

"I could be nothing, or anything. I could be a blessing or a curse," the voice said. "Of course, that depends in your dreams."

"Ahh! Just stop with the riddles already! Tell me who you are!" Eve yelled.

"Tsk. Impatient ones, aren't you? Very well, then. If you like, you could refer to me as..." The voice said. Then, in a flash, a dark entity appeared.

"... Nightmare."

"So, it's you! You're the own who corrupted the Fountain of Dreams!" (Y/N) said.

"'Corrupted'? That's a strong word. I was simply... 'purifying' it," Nightmare said.

"Etta...!" Meloetta growled.

"'Purifying'? By taking everyone's ability to dream away?! You greedy dirtbag!" Eve said.

"Oh, well. It's not like I expect fools like you to understand. Though, enough talk. Allow me to welcome you to the world of nightmares and your imminent demise," Nightmare said as he prepared for battle.
