Chapter 117

3rd Person POV

After moving through the factory, the heroes then moved to a broken bridge. However, they learned from last. While using their sharp sight, patience, and courage, they were able to move quickly before some parts of the bridge fell apart. After a while, they finally made through the bridge.

"Phew! That was close," Crash said.

"No kidding. At least we learned form last time,"(Y/N) said.

"Etta!" Meloetta said as it pointed at a large castle in the distance.

"There! That's the place I've been to!" Crash exclaimed. "I bet Tawna's still held captive there, too."

"Then, what are we waiting for? Let's go in!" Ash said as he was about to go ahead, but Goh stopped him.

"Hold on, Ash! We can't just barge in like this. There might be guards out there, too," Goh said.

"I guess we're gonna have to try to find a way in," Eve said.

Everyone moved to the side of the castle, and Goh's suspicions were true: there were guards at the front door.

"Wow. You were not wrong," Ash whispered.

"See?" Goh whispered back.

Everyone then began to enter the castle by climbing up the castle walls. Though getting inside wouldn't be easy due to not only the rain, but also the vultures flying about and the spike traps lying around. After a small struggle, they finally got inside the castle.

"Woah. This place is huge," Eve commented.

"Etta," Meloetta said.

"Yeah. It might be harder to track down Cortex at this rate," (Y/N) said.

"Yeah, but we have to at least try. Let's get a move on!" Crash said.

As they moved forward in the castle halls, there were numerous traps lying and waiting. Including dangerous pits, monster, and large blades that swing like pendulums

After moving through the castle halls, they went into an area that resembled the temple ruins with the same spear traps and darkness. This area, however, had small blue gem like platforms for the heroes to hop on if they want to continue.

"I've been wondering. How DOES Cortex get all this stuff?" (Y/N) said.

"No idea," Crash answered.

"Maybe he copied data of these things and made it himself?" Eve said.

"When you think about it, it kinda makes sense... or not," Goh said.

"Maybe he let the robots do all the dirty work," Ash said.

"That could be the case, I guess," (Y/N) said.

Finally, after a while long struggle, they finally made it out of the ruins. Afterward, they made it back to the castle halls. This area was the same as the second to previous with the same dark hallways and dangerous traps. This time, however, with spiders hanging from the ceilings.

The next area was the same as the factory, but it was inside the castle. In this area, the heroes also had to move through jetpack powered platforms if they want to continue onward throughout the castle. Then, they reached the inside of a small laboratory until they found a man mixing potions. As soon as the man lifted his head, he noticed Crash first.

"You! Crash Bandicoot! You dare show your face here?!" The man said.

"Hey, aren't you... uh... Sorry, what's your name again?" Crash said, making the man facefault.

"It's Nitrus Bio, you fool!" The man said angrily. "No matter. It's about time I dealt with you fools for good."

He then began to throw bottles of potions, one red and the other green, at the heroes, making them dodge. Unlike the red potions, which explode, the green potions create

"Gahh! It seems I have no other choice left!" Nitrus Bio before drinking a potion he mixed up. Then, after consuming the potion, his skin began turning to a green color, and his body began to grow, turning him into a muscular monster, forcing him to roar.

"Yikes, he's ugly!" Eve said.

Nitrus Bio then began to slam on the ground, making chunks of rocks appear on the ground from above. Crash jumped on one of them and jumped on Nitrus Bio's head. (Y/N) and Eve followed suit and ran at Nitrus Bio. Eve gave the (H/C)-ette a boost with her arms before (Y/N) landed at Nitrus Bio and hit him with her Lovely Swing. Pikachu and Meloetta also landed into the fight and launched each of their melee attacsk him, spelling his defeat.

"Dr. Neo Cortex... I have failed you... Forgive me..." Nitrus Bio said before passing out.

"Do you think Cortex might be close?" Eve said.

"I think so. Let's get a move on!" Crash said.

*scene change*

After defeated Cortex's right hand man, they went out of the small lab to the next area. An even bigger laboratory with a bunch of switches that could open doors and make bridges appear from below. Even though there were a bunch of switches, scientists that were roaming around were not taking it lightly. But of course, the heroes dealt with them immediately. Then, they saw a blimp in the distance.

"What's that blimp doing there?" Ash asked.

"I don't know, but something tells me that Cortex might be there," (Y/N) said.

As soon as ribbony wings grew on her back, she wrapped the others in a large bubble and pulled them with her to the blimp until everyone reached top of the blimp. Then, they saw a yellow big-headed man with an N on is forehead on a hovercraft.

"Curse you, Crash Bandicoot! You and your friends ruining my plan when I planned everything accordingly!" The man said.

"Is that Cortex?" Goh asked.

"Maybe? I think so," Crash said as he scratched his head, trying to recall.

"So, I guess we might have found him, right?" (Y/N) said.

"I guess so," Eve said.

"SILENCE!" Neo Cortex yelled. "Time to eliminate you all!"

He then grabbed a zap gun and began to shoot purple energy orbs at the gang, causing them to move out of the way. As soon as he shot green energy orbs, Crash deflected them with a spin back at Neo Cortex, dealing damage.

"You little...!" Neo Cortex said angrily before shooting blue energy orbs, which move slower near the heroes.

During the battle, while avoided purple and blue energy shots, the heroes kept on deflecting the green shots back at Neo Cortex. This went on until they finally defeated him, making his hovercraft explode and send him flying.

"CURSE YOOOOOOUUUUUU!!" Neo Cortex as he fell down.

"Phew. Done and dusted!" (Y/N) said proudly.

Then, a tall female dog with blonde hair somehow climb up on top of the blimp.

"Tawna!" Crash said happily.

"Crash! I knew you'd come save me!" Tawna said as she embraced him until she noticed the others.  "Hm? And who could they be?"

"Oh, them? They're my friend who were giving me a hand," Crash said.

"Really? In any case, thank you all so much!" Tawna said.

"No problem! Anytime!" (Y/N) said.
