Chapter 134

3rd Person POV

The next destination was Yogurt Yard, an area located underneath the clouds of Grape Garden known for its vast mountains and caves. Right now, the gang was falling through the clouds, but was merely floating, thanks to their flight until they finally reached the ground. Although peaceful it may see, it was also equally dangerous due to the volcanic ash affecting a forest.

"You sensed it was here, right, Eve?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah, but it was tougher than I thought it'd be because of the smoke from somewhere," Eve said.

"Etta?" Meloetta said curiously.

You mean from something like a volcano?" (Y/N) said.

"Sort of," Eve answered.

"Poyo," Kirby said.

"Well, there are way to try and clear the smoke," (Y/N) said as she took out the wind charm. "And so far, I know one!" She then inserted the charm in her compact, transforming into her Wind form.

"All we need to do is blow through the smoke and follow Eve's senses. Let's get going!" She said.

Everyone then continued onward through the mountains of Yogurt Yard. They kept journeying through the mountains until they entered the forest, where, as Eve expected, was smoke floating around the forest

"Poyo!" Kirby said, signaling (Y/N).

"On it," (Y/N) replied. She then created an orb of blustering wind in her hands before she threw the orb in front of her, making the smoke blow away and fade, revealing a clear path.

"Eve," (Y/N) said.

"Got it, Mama," Eve replied before she focused her senses for any star energy. It went on for a bit until she found something. 

"Got it! Over there!" She exclaimed.

Everyone then continued to follow the path where Eve's senses were pointing at. Suddenly, once they stopped at the barren part of the forest, Meta Knight appeared.

"Don't tell me..." (Y/N) said.

Then, as (Y/N) expected, Meta Knight sent out more of his knights before he disappeared.

"Poyo!" Kirby said as everyone prepared for another brawl.

As a few knight began to charge first, Meloetta sung its Relic Song, transforming into its Pirouette form before landing a couple of punches and kicks on the knights, knocking them away. (Y/N) and Eve leaped up in the air and land at a group of knights with a dropkick, knocking them out. Finally, Kirby, with his Burning ability, ignited himself on fire before charging at the last knights standing as if he was a fireball and knocking them out for good.

"I just wish we found an answer to Meta Knight's ambushes..." Eve said.

"Etta," Meloetta said before turning back to her Aria Form.

"Don't we all? Anyway, let's keep looking for that Star Rod piece," (Y/N) said.

The gang then continued onward through the forest with (Y/N) clearing the smoke and Eve senses following the path. They kept following the path until they stopped at a cave.

"Melo..." Meloetta said.

"You think a Star Rod piece is in there somewhere?" (Y/N) asked.

Eve used her senses again to find a trace of a Star Rod piece inside the cave until she found not only a Star Rod piece's presence, but also something else.

"It's in there, but... There's something else in there, too. It might have the Star Rod with it. Let's hurry!" She said.

Everyone then rushed inside the cave to find the Star Rod piece. After they went deep inside the cave, they noticed something in the distance. It was a large machine with saws called Heavy Mole breaking through the rubble ahead of it.

"Poyo!" Kirby said.

"Is that the one you were talking about, Eve?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah. And look what its got!" Eve said. Everyone took a closer look and noticed a familiar item stuck to it.

"A Star Rod piece!" (Y/N) exclaimed. "Well, we know what to do." She then inserted her Nature charm in her compact, transforming into her Nature form.

Everyone then charged at Heavy Mole as the former continued to saw through the boulders with ease. Meloetta sung her Relic Song to transform to her Pirouette Form before dealing many kicks to Heavy Mole while (Y/N) summoned vines from the ground and wrapped them around it, restricting its movement.

"Hurry!" (Y/N) signaled Kirby and Eve.

Kirby, with his hammer ability, swung his hammer at Heavy Mole multiple times while Eve charged at it with her Nebula Punch, dealing a fair amount of damage. However, (Y/N)'s vines won't be able to hold on to the machine any longer. Heavy Mole's saws cut through the vines, breaking free of the restraints and continued deeper in the cave.

"Darn it!" (Y/N) said.

Everyone chased after Heavy Mole to continue the pursuit. This time, it was Meloetta and (Y/N)'s turn to take the initiative. Meloetta sung with its Alluring Voice to slow down Heavy Mole until (Y/N) summoned bramble to grow it and stab the Heavy Mole, dealing the final blow and destroying it, making it drop the Star Rod piece.

"Got another one!" Eve said.

(optional victory dance)

"Neato! Alright. Let's keep moving!" (Y/N) said.
