Chapter 100

In a flash of light, they finally made it back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

"Ah, the Mushroom Kingdom. It feels good to be back!" (Y/N) said.

Then, before they were able to make a single move, they were encountered by a Toad.

"Oh! (Y/N)! Eve! Ash! Pikachu! Goh! You're here!" He said.

"Oh, hey there. Do you need anything from us?" Ash asked.

"I know you guys just got back, but there's some trouble going on in the kingdom! I've already talked to Mario about it. Head over to the castle! The chancellor should explain everything," the Toad said before hurrying to Peach's Castle.

"What do you think it's about?" Goh asked.

"I don't know, but we'd better head there and find out," Eve said.

The four then rushed into the castle to meet with the chancellor. Once they got in, they were escorted into the main throne room where they met a green Toad, who was the chancellor that the Toad from earlier spoke of.

"Ah, (Y/N), Eve, Ash, Pikachu, Goh. We're delighted to have you here," the chancellor said.

"Were you seeking us, Mr. Chancellor?" (Y/N) asked.

"Well, yes, if you were present, of course. Mostly, I was waiting for Mario, but..." The chancellor said until the doors opened to reveal the Toad from earlier.

"Sir, Mario has arrived!" He said, making the chancellor nod. Then, Mario came into the room before noticing (Y/N) and others.

"Oh, hey, (Y/N)!" Mario said.

"Good to see you again, Mario!" Ash said.

"Pika!" Pikachu said.

"Mario! Thank goodness you're here!  We heard an explosion or something at Bowser's Keep. It was so loud I almost dropped my spores!" The chancellor said.

"An explosion?" Goh asked.

"Uh... excuse me? Wh... where's the princess? She departed for your house HOURS ago!" The chancellor said. "I fear the worst! Could Bowser somehow be behind all this?"

"Hold on! Let me explain!" Mario said. He then began to break down everything he had experienced so far.

"Spores alive! You're telling us that Bowser has abducted the princess AGAIN?" The chancellor said in shock.

"How many times did Bowser try to kidnap Peach?" Eve whispered.

"I don't know," (Y/N) said.

"Never mind. It will be up to you all to enter the keep and rescue Princess Peach!" The chancellor said.

"Okay, then let's hurry and go!" (Y/N) said.

"I don't think it'll be possible this time..." Mario said.

"Pika?!" Pikachu said.

"Why not?" Ash asked.

Mario then began to explain more about everything that happened at Bowser's Keep. A huge sword struck down on the Keep, knocking Mario out of it into Mushroom Way.

"Egad! The keep is unassailable?! What awful power is at work here?!" The chancellor said. "Mario, (Y/N), Eve, Ash, Pikachu, Goh... her life is in your hands. Please, save our dear princess!"

"Okay! Let's go, everyone!" Mario said, making the others nod. They then move out of the Castle.

Suddenly once they went out, they heard a shout.
