Chapter 101

After leaving the Mushroom Kingdom, the heroes walked around for a bit until they came across a green pipe lying in the distance.

"This is the entrance," Mallow said.

"Could this pipe really lead us to Tadpole Pond?" Ash asked.

"You'll have to go through Kero Sewers to go there," Mallow said. "Grandpa says to watch out for Belome, whoever that is! It's probably a little dark down there, so keep alert!"

Then, everyone went down the pipe, taking them to the dark areas of Kero Sewers.

"This place is giving me the creeps... I don't like it," Eve said.

"Pika..." Pikachu mumbled, also a little scared.

"Come on, everybody. I know it's scary, but there's no other way to Tadpole Pond," Mario said.

Everyone began to tread through the dark sewers. As they pressed on, they encountered many enemies who found homage to this place. Including Boos, Shadows, Hobgoblins, and Rat Funks. Once they reached the end, they saw a giant yellow creature with four eyes, red patterns, and a tongue out sleeping.

"Who's that?" Ash asked.

"Th... this must be... Belome! Is that a fire hose or his tongue?!" Mallow asked.

"That could be his tongue," Goh said.

As soon as Mallow got a look at Belome, Belome opened his eyes as he woke up.

"Moh, ho, ho! Ack! It's a snack attack! And you're it!" Belome said before he attacked.

Mario went first and hit Belome with a jump attack before Mallow hit Belome with his Thunderbolt move. Afterward, (Y/N) hit Belome with her Star Bubble.

"Ooooh! Room service has been kind to me! Where's my bib?" Belome said before he attacked Mallow with his tongue.

"Gross... Let's take him out before things get ugly!" Eve said.

Eve, now in her human form, threw a Nebula Punch at him while Pikachu did a Volt Tackle. Belome tried licking Eve, but she blocked it.

(Y/N) threw her staff at Belome before it came back to her hand while Mario did a jump attack once again. Then, Mallow did his Thunderbolt attack again.

"Stick for a body... head full of straw... give me a scarecrow, rah, rah, RAH!" Belome chanted before spitting bad breath at Mario, turning him into a scarecrow.

"Oh, no! Mario!" Ash said.

"I... I'm fine! I think..." Mario said.

Eve then threw Star Blades at Belome while Pikachu shot a Thunderbolt at them, giving them shocking power before they hit Belome.

"C-Can't... stand it! The hunger... the HUNGER!" Belome yelled before he gobbled Mallow up.

"MALLOW!" Goh yelled worriedly.

"You jerk! Spit him out RIGHT NOW!" (Y/N) spoke angrily.

Mario did his jumping attack while (Y/N) charged at Belome with her Lovely Swing, forcing him to spit out Mallow.

"You think you've won, huh? Little did you know... I'm all that's stopping a flood of water! So long, soakies!" Belome said before escaping, leaving behind a button. The button was unpressed, making the gate that was once behind Belome open.

"Belome must have been lying when he said water would come gushing out of here..." Mallow said.

Suddenly, a noise was heard from the gate.

"Uh, guys? Do you hear something?" Goh asked.

"That sound..." (Y/N) said before she got closer to hear...
