Chapter 104

As Meloetta got a acquainted with the others, everyone finally made it to Seaside Town. As Peach described it, this town was known as a resort town. Suddenly, once they arrived to the town, they noticed that it was... different from what they imagined. The people there were acting very strange. Luckily, they found some information that the Star Piece was located in a ship that sunk to the bottom of the ocean. They headed straight to a sea cave, which led to the sea. While swimming (and walking) throughout the cave, they finally found a ship that sunk, which was the ship the villagers were speaking of. They swam down there and entered through a Warp Pipe.

"I gotta be honest. Haunted ships or anything else haunted, not really my thing," (Y/N) said, frightened.

"Yeah. Hopefully, there aren't any ghosts in here..." Ash said, also frightened.

"Let's go. I know it's scary, but we don't have a choice if we want to find the Star Piece here," Mario said.

As everyone began to explore the sunken ship, many monsters lurked inside the ship. Including Dry Bones, Alley Rats, Greapers, and Reachers. Along the way, they collected memos that could reveal some kind of password. Once they got to a room with a horn. They tried connecting the dots to figure out what the password is. The password was PEARLS. Once they entered the password, they gained access to the room led by the door. Suddenly, once they got in, they were attacked by three tentacles that belonged to a large squid.

"Okay... Not the warmest welcome we've had so far," Eve said.

"Let's hurry up and take 'em out!" Bowser said.

Everyone then began to attack the tentacles with their normal attacks. Even with the tentacles smacking and grabbing them, it was never enough to stop them from continuing onward. Once they got to the farthest side of the area, they spotted a large squid blocking a large pipe.

"So that's the creature that's blocking our path. We have to get rid of it," Geno said.

Then, it was time for a new Star Move. Bowser then tucked into his shell after jumping while Mario and (Y/N) assisted by giving him a boost. Peach helped out by tossing a Power Star at Bowser while he's spinning at the squid, giving him power until he knocked into the squid. Mario then shot fireballs at the left tentacle, destroying it. Peach then went and gave the right tentacle a nice, hard slap. A powerful one, to be exact. Then, Bowser threw Mario dolls at the right tentacle, destroying that as well.

The large squid then retaliated by throwing a sandstorm. Luckily, to make it stop, (Y/N) countered with a Marble Burst. Then, Eve jumped and hit the squid with a Shooting  Star Kick. Suddenly, Meloetta decided to join the fight as well. It used its signature move, Relic Song. It began to attack by singing a song to the squid with powerful melodies. Then, Meloetta's appearance began to change. It's hair became an auburn styled up in a bun, the blue eyes became a red color, and it's dress became flowy.

"Huh?! What happened to Meloetta?" Goh said in shock, looking at Meloetta's new form.

"It changed forms..." Ash said.

Mallow then went up to the squid and shot a stronger thunder at it. The large squid tried to throw large water geysers. Luckily, Pikachu stopped it with its Thunderbolt. Mario threw stronger fireballs before (Y/N) did a Luminara Impact on it. Geno then shot a stronger laser at it before the squid shot a sandstorm at them. Suddenly, Meloetta then went and hit the squid with strong and swift punches and kicks, spelling the squid's downfall.

"Wow! Nice job, Meloetta!" (Y/N) cheered.

"Heh. You ain't too bad yourself, pipsqueak," Bowser said.

"Melo!" Meloetta said before returning to its normal form.
