Chapter 132

3rd Person POV

The next destination the gang must go to was Butter Building, a tall tower that could reach the clouds, as the name suggests.

"Man, that tower is huge," (Y/N) said.

"Poyo," Kirby said.

"Judging from the height of the tower, it's going to be difficult trying to find one of the Star Rod pieces," Eve said.

"Etta," Meloetta spoke with a nod of agreement.

"Even so, we don't have any other choice if we want to find one of the Star Rod pieces here. So, it's time for a climb!" (Y/N) said, making the others nod.

The gang then went inside Butter Building to look for a piece of the Star Rod. Meanwhile, two figures watched from the sky as the quartet began to enter the tower.

"So, they're the ones scouring for pieces of the Star Rod. They must have already known we have one of them with us. We have to get rid of them immediately," A sun-like figure spoke.

"Patience, Mr. Shine. I understand your concern, but now's not the time. We've seen what they were capable of. So, it's best that we prepare for a personal confrontation," the moon-like figure replied to Mr. Shine.

"... Got it, Mr. Bright," Mr. Shine replied.

Meanwhile...

The gang was currently at one of the middle floors of Butter Building. Specifically, the highest of the middle floors of the tower.

"How much... further?" (Y/N) panted.

"No idea, Mama... I feel like... I'm about to drop," Eve said while wiping the sweat off her head.

"Melo..." Meloetta sighed, tired.

Suddenly, Kirby noticed a familiar figure standing in the distance. Meta Knight.

"Poyo?" Kirby said.

Meta Knight didn't say a word. Instead, he sent out his crew at the gang.

"Wait!" (Y/N) said. 

However, it was too late. Meta Knight had already disappeared, and the gang was surrounded by numerous knights. They had no other choice but to fight there way through them. 

As the battle waged on, two of the knights charged at (Y/N), each from one side. The (H/C)-ette jumped up, making the two knights bump into each other. Then, once the iron was hot, (Y/N) landed down and slammed down at the knights with her staff. The battle went on for quite a while until all of the knights were defeated.

"Phew. Close call," Eve said.

"Now, let's go look for that Star Rod piece," (Y/N) said.

Everyone then continued their summit in Butter Building to find any whereabouts of the Star Rod piece until they made it to the very top of the tower.

"Any sign of a Star Rod piece yet?" (Y/N) asked.

"Poyo," Kirby said while he shook his head.

Suddenly, a pair of voices boomed out from somewhere.

"Kirby! And the rest of you! We've been waiting for you!" They said.

"Etta?!" Meloetta said, shocked.

Then, in a pair of flashing lights, Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright appeared.

"We've been watching over you all along. We knew you were focused on collecting all pieces of the Star Rod," Mr. Shine said.

"However, you will go no further. We will not let you anywhere near the Fountain of Dreams!" Mr. Bright spoke.

"Hold on a sec! Why do want to keep us from the fountain so badly?" Eve asked.

"This is none of your concern! Now, perish!" Mr. Shine said as he rose up to the sky, turning into a sun while Mr. Bright was on the ground, ready to battle.

Mr. Bright made the first move and threw a punch at the gang. However, the gang miraculously dodged, making the moon's fist hit the ground.

Eve and Meloetta charged at Mr. Bright first and dealt a double kick. Suddenly, Mr. Shine had a trick up his sleeve. (Y/N) noticed that he was charging up for an attack.

"Shoot!" She blurted out before running to Eve and Meloetta while Kirby followed suit.

(Y/N) then summoned a shield above everyone before Mr. Shine unleashed a laser beam, which blocked by (Y/N)'s Iron Blossom. 

"Focus on the fight in front of you!" Mr. Bright said before shooting an energy star at the gang, making them dodge.

"This isn't good. How are we going to take these guys down?" Eve asked.

"I don't know but let's try taking out Mr. Bright first!" (Y/N) said.

(Y/N) and Kirby charged at Mr. Bright next with Kirby swinging his sword at the moon a few times before (Y/N) went next and threw a Lovely Swing at him, dealing a good amount of damage.

"Curses! They're a lot stronger than I take them for. Mr. Shine! Time to switch!" Mr. Bright said.

With that, Mr. Shine fell from the sky and reverted to his original form while Mr. Bright rose up to the air as a moon, which was cracked due to the damage he took. 

"Now, come here, you brats!" Mr. Shine yelled.

"Gladly!" (Y/N) said before she and the otherS charged at Mr. Shine.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bright began to shoot down energy stars at the gang. Luckily, everyone was able to dodge them. Eve and Meloetta shot some projectiles at Mr. Shine before Kirby arrived and swung his sword at him. Finally, (Y/N) charged up some energy on her fist and punched the sun, sending him flying towards Mr. Bright until the two crashed towards each other, defeating them both.

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby said happily.

"Nice punch, Mama!" Eve cheered, making her mother laugh sheepishly.

Then, a piece of the Star began to float down towards the gang.

"Knew it," (Y/N) spoke.

(optional victory dance)

"Alright. Now, let's keep moving. We've got more pieces to find!" Eve said.
