Sage returned Pikachu to its Poké Ball, taking a deep breath as she had to stay calm if she was going to beat Janine and her next move would be crucial.

Hitmonchan, dodge and counter with Throat Chop!" Sage ordered.
In a blur of motion, Hitmonchan dodged to the side, avoiding the dark energy sphere of Shadow Ball and with swift precision, Hitmonchan dashed forward and landed a powerful Throat Chop on Nidoking, causing the duel Poison-type to grunt in pain.
However, as the attack landed, Poison Point, Nidoking's ability, activated and Hitmonchan was hit by a surge of poison.
Not good," Sage thought, watching as Hitmonchan staggering back and forth from the poison's effects.
Nidoking use Megahorn!" Janine commanded.
Sage's heart raced as Nidoking charged forward with incredible speed, its horn glowing.
Hitmonchan, jump up and use Ice Punch!" Sage shouted.
Hitmonchan leapt into the air, narrowly dodging the incoming Megahorn as the fighting type Pokemon then landed a solid Ice Punch to Nidoking head as the impact sent Nidoking flying back and crashing into the gym wall.
Nice move but it's not over yet. Nidoking use Double Team!" Janine shouted.
In an instant, Nidoking multiplied, creating several clones of itself.
Sage took a deep breath. She knew she had to act fast.
Hitmonchan use Fire Punch on all the clones!" Sage ordered.
Hitmonchan immediately rushed forward, landing a Fire Punch on each of the Nidoking clones as one by one, the clones vanished in bursts of smoke but just as Sage thought she had them all, one of the clones grabbed Hitmonchan from behind.
Perfect timing. Nidoking use Poison Jab!" Janine laughed.
With deadly precision, the real Nidoking jabbed its poisoned coated fist into Hitmonchan, sending a sharp, painful shock through the fighting type Pokemon body.
The clone disappeared as Hitmonchan stumbled back, its body growing sluggish from the poison.
Sage's heart pounded in her chest as she knew she had to do something quickly before Hitmonchan faints from the poison.
Hitmonchan use Fire Punch one more time!" Sage commanded.
Janine's expression turned cold as she immediately countered.
Nidoking use Protect!" Janine called out.
A shimmering barrier appeared around Nidoking, blocking Hitmonchan's incoming Fire Punch as Sage gritted her teeth in frustration.
Now, Nidoking use Poison Jab!" Janine ordered.
With another swift strike, Nidoking landed a solid Poison Jab to Hitmonchan's head, knocking the Fighting-type back.
Hitmonchan staggered but regained its footing as the poison was taking its toll.
Hitmonchan use Mach Punch!" Sage shouted.
With a burst of speed, Hitmonchan dashed at Nidoking, delivering a powerful Mach Punch to the Poison-type's head as Nidoking was sent flying into the gym wall, crashing to the ground in a heap as it fainted.
Hitmonchan then began swaying back and forth and fainted from the poison.
The referee raised the flag.
Both Pokémon are unable to battle. Sage and Janine now have two Pokémon left" The referee shouted.
Sage let out a relieved breath but couldn't let her guard down as recalled Hitmonchan as she could see what the gym guide and Red meant when they said Janine was a formidable opponent.
Janine recalled Nidoking, her smirk unchanged. "
You're good, Sage. But don't think you've won just yet. My next Pokémon will be even harder to beat" Janine said as Sage was more then determined to win.
