Sage, Leaf and Janine arrived at David's house as their minds was racing as they prepared for the confrontation ahead as the house was eerily quiet but Sage's eyes narrowed when she saw Jessie, James and Meowth, along with the man they had come to find—Koga.

Sage nodded in agreement, her heart pounding in her chest at the thought of facing the former Fuchsia city gym leader who was supposed on be dead but was actually alive and now a Team Rocket executive.

Koga... why did you join Team Rocket? What are you really doing here?" Sage asked as she couldn't understand why such a well respected gym leader like Koga would join Team Rocket of all people.

Sage immediately pulled out her Rotom Phone, which buzzed in her hand. The device scanned Muk and displayed its Pokédex entry.
Muk the Poison Pokémon: known for its ability to dissolve anything in its path, Muk's sludge is highly corrosive, capable of destroying anything it touches.
Espeon, you're up!" Sage said as she sent out her Psychic Pokemon.
Espeon emerged from its Poké Ball with its bright eyes glowing with focus.
Muk use Flamethrower!" Koga said with a smirk
Espeon, counter with Swift!" Sage called out.
The two attacks collided midair and a fiery explosion rocked the battlefield as the flames from Muk's Flamethrower fought against the twinkling stars of Espeon's Swift but the attacks canceled each other out.
Muk use Mud Shot!" Koga said.
Espeon, dodge and use Zen Headbutt!" Sage said.
Espeon gracefully sidestepped the Mud Shot and then charged forward with its head glowing with psychic energy as Espeon delivered a powerful Zen Headbutt to Muk as the poison-type Pokémon groaned in pain but remained standing.
Muk use Toxic!" Koga said as he gritted his teeth.
Muk released a pool of poison underneath Espeon as the poison began seeping into Espeon as the Psychic Pokemon flinched as Sage watched in concern as Espeon groaned softly as it was poisoned.
Espeon, don't give up!" Sage urged. "Use Hyper Voice!"
Espeon summoned its strength and released a powerful sonic burst, knocking Muk back and sending it crashing into a nearby tree.
Muk use Gunk Shot!" Koga shouted.
Espeon, dodge quickly!" Sage called out.
Espeon nimbly avoided the toxic attack as Sage was already calculating her next course of action.
Espeon use Psychic Ball!" Sage said with a smile.
Espeon focused its psychic energy and released a powerful Psychic Ball, striking Muk head-on as the poison Pokémon staggered back with its body glowing with confusion from the psychic assault.
Now's our chance! Use Sand Attack!" Sage said as she was hoping to lower Muk accuracy even more as Espeon eyes glowed blue but then something unexpected happened. Instead of using Sand Attack, Espeon unleashed a powerful wave of psychic energy, executing a flawless Psychic move.
Sage's Rotom Phone buzzed again, displaying Espeon's updated moveset: Psychic, Hyper Voice, Swift, Zen Headbutt, and Psychic Ball.
Muk, overwhelmed by the psychic onslaught, fainted and collapsed to the ground. Koga gritted his teeth, recalling his Pokémon, his face a mask of frustration.
You're good but you're not going to win" Koga said as ust as he was about to send out his next Pokémon when suddenly Jessie, James and Meowth ran up to Koga, looking flustered.
The boss wants to see you immediately!" Jessie said urgently.
Koga scowled, his expression hardening. "This isn't over."
With that, Koga turned on his heel, followed by Jessie, James, and Meowth as the group quickly disappeared into the distance, leaving Sage and Janine in stunned silence.
Sage breathed a sigh of relief, but the battle wasn't over yet. They still had to find out what Koga was really up to and what Team Rocket's plans were.
