The battlefield was tense as Red sent out his final contender: Pikachu.
Sage's heart skipped a beat as she saw the familiar Electric-type appear but something was wrong as Pikachu seemed powerful much more powerful then her own Pikachu.
Sage was taken aback for a moment. Could Pikachu really Mega Evolve? She wondered how this battle would play out and with a deep breath, Sage made her decision.
This is it" Sage said as she called back Espeon and threw Charizard's Pokéball, sending her fiery starter into the field.
Let's skip the foreplay" Red said with his voice full of determination as he activated his key stone which reacted with Pikachu mega stone.
Pikachu, Mega Evolve!" Red said as in a flash of light, Red's Pikachu transformed as it now stood in its Mega Evolution form.

So that's what Mega Pikachu looks like" Sage said as in awe as she gripped her key stone necklace as she said
Charizard, let's show him what we're made of!" Sage called as she activated her key stone necklace which reacted with Charizard mega stone as Charizard transformed into its Charizard X Form.
Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Red shouted as Pikachu dashed forward at lightning speed, too fast for Sage to comprehend.
The mega evolved electric starter slammed into Charizard with immense force, sending the Fire-type stumbling back slightly.
Sage's eyes narrowed as Red Pikachu was much more faster then Janine Mega evolved Beedrill.
Charizard use Flamethrower—point blank!" Sage called out.
Charizard opened its mouth wide and unleashed a powerful Flamethrower at Pikachu at point-blank range.
The flames engulfed Pikachu sending the mega evolved electric starter flying back as Pikachu was burnt a little but still standing.
Red winced but quickly regained his composure.
Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Red commanded.
Pikachu, recovering quickly and shot a bolt of electricity straight at Charizard as the Thunderbolt crackled in the air but Sage was ready.
Charizard, dodge and use Cinder Blast!" Sage called out as with a powerful beat of its wings, Charizard soared into the air, narrowly avoiding the Thunderbolt.
Then with a roar, Charizard unleashed a fiery Cinder Blast down toward Pikachu as the intense flames struck Pikachu, causing it to stagger and take the full brunt of the attack as Pikachu was burned.
Red winced but his Pikachu wasn't down yet.
Pikachu, fight back! Use Thunderbolt again!" Red encouraged as Pikachu cried out and released another Thunderbolt.
Dodge it and use Flamethrower!" Sage ordered.
Charizard nimbly dodged the Thunderbolt and quickly retaliated with another Flamethrower as the intense heat washed over Pikachu, overwhelming it with power.
The Electric-type Pokémon screamed in pain, its form flickering as it dropped out of its Mega Evolution as Pikachu was clearly weakened.
Now, Charizard, finish it off with Flamethrower!" Sage commanded.
Charizard unleashed one final burst of flames, engulfing Pikachu in a massive stream of fire.
Pikachu couldn't withstand the heat and the force of the attack and finally fainted.
Sage couldn't help but cheer with voice filled with excitement.
We did it, Charizard! We won!" Sage said as she hugged Charizard who reverted back into its normal form.
Red nodded with a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
You might have what it takes to become a Pokémon Master" Red said with his voice filled with admiration as he recalled his Pikachu into its Pokéball.
Sage's heart swelled with pride as she recalled Charizard back into its Pokeball.
I couldn't have done it without you, Charizard" Sage whispered to the Pokéball in her hand as a sense of accomplishment filled her.
Red turned to her, his gaze serious yet respectful.
That was an incredible battle, Sage. You've definitely earned your place as one of the greatest trainers I've ever seen" Red said with a smile.
Sage smiled, feeling a mix of exhilaration and gratitude as this battle had pushed her and her Pokémon to their limits but the victory felt even sweeter because of it.
Well lets regroup with Blue and Leaf so we can go to Saffron city" Red said as Sage nodded.
