"You did a great job by showing that bastard who's boss with that kick but get those nasty cuts on your cheek and jaw checked out, Chou. I didn't expect your opponent this time to be so rough," Her coach, Jihyo, pointed out. Jihyo grimaced as a fresh trail of blood ran down from the deep cuts on Tzuyu's cheeks which were caused by the last few punches from the younger woman's opponent.

Tzuyu winced in pain as she brought her hand up to wipe the blood away from her face. She then pressed her towel over her cuts and staggered over towards the showers to get all cleaned up.

The fighter took her own sweet time to freshen up and threw on a simple white shirt and a lilac hoodie over it with basketball shorts as she slipped on her white crocs with a few cute charms on it. Nothing better than her idgaf fit! Tzuyu then packed up all her equipment in her duffel bag before going over to where Jihyo was waiting.

Jihyo quickly briefed Tzuyu on how she could improve her defense and offense strategies for the next match and lightly chided her for not blocking the opponent's punches when she could've during the match earlier. Her coach then sent her off with a big hug as Tzuyu made her way to the hospital.

Walking into the hospital, Tzuyu bought a piece of bread from the cafeteria to eat as she made her way to the ninth floor where her physician's office was located. She munched on her bun filled with chocolate cream while waiting for the elevator. It wasn't long until Tzuyu was knocking on the familiar door of her physician.

A soft voice beckoned her in after her three knocks and Tzuyu opened the door to see Doctor Minatozaki Sana sitting on her desk, typing away some report while studying a few files laid before her. Tzuyu closed the door behind her and sat down on one of the chairs in front of Sana's desk as she said, "I got punched today. Three times. Twice on my right cheek and once right across my jaw."

"What is it with you boxers and getting punched? You're the fifth one today," Sana mumbled, not looking up from her computer screen as she pointed towards the examination table towards the right of her office. Tzuyu just shrugged and plopped herself onto the examination table as Sana pulled on a new pair of gloves.

Sana took Tzuyu's face into her hands and carefully examined all the cuts while mumbling to herself before concluding, "Alright, the cuts on your cheeks just need a tiny bit of cleaning up and some ointment but the cut on your jaw needs about four to five stitches."

Tzuyu shuddered, "Yikes...that's a lot of stitches. Whatever, work your magic on me, doctor."

Sana took a piece of cotton wool soaked in alcohol with a pair of tweezers and wiped Tzuyu's cuts which caused Tzuyu to jerk away a few times because of the pain but Sana's hand held the younger woman's head steady. As soon as she expertly dabbed a tiny amount of ointment onto the cuts on Tzuyu's cheeks and pasted plasters on them, Sana instructed, "I need you to lie down for me so I can quickly stitch it up. After that, I'll write a short report and you can go."

Tzuyu did as she was told, and Sana made quick work of patching the cut up and it just took 15 minutes for all of Tzuyu's cuts to be treated. As Sana peeled off her gloves and sat back down in front of her computer, Tzuyu uttered out, "How should I address you, doctor?"

"Just Sana will be fine."

Tzuyu nodded as she went back to get her bag and she continued with her questions, "Older or younger?"

As expressionless as the physician has been, the question got a slight frown from Sana, "Is that an indirect way of calling me a hag?"

Tzuyu was a flurry of hands as she immediately launched into explaining and denying the physician's claim, "No! Of course not! I just wanted to be respectful! Like it would be extremely rude if I just addressed you by your name if you were older and I would never ever be rude towards anyo-"

"Relax, will you? I was joking."

Tzuyu scowled, "I'd appreciate your joke if you didn't have a massive frown on your face as if I said the most offensive thing you've ever heard."

The physician merely nodded before apologising, "I'm sorry, Ms Chou. As for your question, I'm older by three years."

A look of shock dawned on Tzuyu's face while she processed whatever the woman in front of her just said. There was absolutely no way this stunning woman with flawless skin was in her late twenties. That would be absurd. "You're joking. You look so young, unnie," Tzuyu trailed off but quickly shook her head to correct Sana, "Call me Tzuyu and you don't smile a lot, do you?"

"Thank you for the compliment, Tzuyu. I reserve my smiles for people who I deem are important to me. However, I think it's time for you to take your leave. After all, you fought hard today so make sure to have a good dinner and come back in about a week for me to check your stitches and see if your cut has healed. Good night," Sana quickly dismissed the fighter standing before her as she turned her attention back to her computer to finish up the final report of that day.

Tzuyu took that as her sign to leave and quietly trudged her way to the door, not before shooting the pretty physician another look. Once she was out the door, Tzuyu was determined to make this cold yet beautiful physician smile at least once, but she would have to become friends with Sana first. If Sana didn't smile during her next visit to check her stitches, that would just mean Tzuyu would have to get punched all over again just to visit her.

The fighter decided to skip the train ride today and instead walk home under the moonlight. Could you blame her? Every single second of her day was filled with training, matches and interviews so she rarely had time for herself so to have such serenity once in a while was a treat for Tzuyu. She stopped by the convenience store opposite her apartment building to pick up some cup noodles and a ready-made salad because there was no way she would be cooking when she got home.

Food in her arms, Tzuyu waited for the elevator in silence as she thought back to the events of that day. as she stood there, lost in her thoughts, a voice called out to her, "Aren't you going to go in?"

Tzuyu snapped out of her reverie and looked to her side to see her physician. "Sana unnie! Fancy seeing you here!" Tzuyu exclaimed, taking in the look of pure exhaustion on Sana's face. Sana just shrugged as she walked into the elevator and pressed the button for the eleventh floor. Tzuyu scrambled to follow as multiple remarks flew out of her mouth, "I didn't know you were living in the same apartment building as me. Hell, we're only separated by a floor! I live right above you!"

"As excited as you are, I'd appreciate it if we kept our relationship professional, Tzuyu-ssi. I rarely interact with my patients outside the hospital so let's keep it that way," Sana solemnly warned, making sure to back up all the way towards the farthest corner from where Tzuyu was standing.

"Damn..." Tzuyu mumbled to herself as a ding resounded within the elevator, indicating that they had arrived on the eleventh floor. As Sana made a move to exit, Tzuyu greeted her with a small smile and a wave, "Good night, Sana unnie! I guess I'll see you around."

Without a glance back, Sana just stepped out of the elevator, uttering, "Make sure to clean your wounds properly every day and come by my office in a week's time for a check-up." As soon as the elevator doors closed, Tzuyu let out a short huff she didn't realise she was holding and ran a weary hand through her hair as she mumbled, "I have never met anyone as cold-hearted as she is. Looks like it's going to be a hard task for me to make her smile."
