Days flew by in the blink of an eye as Tzuyu juggled between training with Jihyo tirelessly to strengthen herself and consolidate her strategies for the next game, while also nursing her cuts. She made sure to clean her wounds up just like Sana had instructed and even put on some ointment on days where she still had the energy to dig through her medicine cupboard.
It wasn't long before Tzuyu found herself standing before a familiar wooden door in the hospital. She nervously cleared her throat as she brought a knuckle up towards the door. Three loud knocks resounded throughout the empty corridor and a few minutes passed before a voice inside mumbled, "Come in."
Ah, there it is...the oh-so-serious voice of her doctor. The very doctor Tzuyu is determined to sway. Tzuyu quickly made her way in, not wanting Sana to wait, and plopped herself down on the examination table. "Good evening, Sana unnie! How was work today?" Tzuyu greeted cheerfully, a megawatt smile dawning her face. Sana merely shrugged her shoulders, ignoring the smile Tzuyu sent her way, "Good evening."
Sana pulled on a pair of gloves as she peeled off the plaster on Tzuyu's face, commenting, "Your cuts have healed nicely so I'll be removing your stitches now. Please refrain from moving too much or else I'll be cutting your skin instead of the stitches."
Tzuyu shuddered at the thought and locked all her muscles in place so as to ensure that she wouldn't move. That action got a small snort from Sana, who was now carefully cutting all the stitches and extracting them, which was still considered a tiny victory in Tzuyu's opinion. Sana only took a good ten minutes to take the stitches out and clean up the wound to prevent infections.
"You're all set. Make sure to be careful for your next match, I have enough athletes running to me because of their injuries," Sana reminded. Tzuyu pouted, "You see that many athletes each day? I'm still the best one right? Your favourite one? Or maybe the cutest one?"
"Don't push it, Ms Chou," Sana snapped, walking back to her table to conclude Tzuyu's report. Tzuyu immediately straightened up and followed Sana to her table. "Could I have your number, unnie?" Tzuyu blurted out as she stopped in front of Sana. Sana looked up, questioning the motive behind the request, "What for?"
Tzuyu rubbed her neck to calm her nerves before meekly replying, "Just in case I get injured again, y'know? Can't be too sure in this day and age where violence is everywhere."
"You literally fight people for a living," Sana deadpanned. Tzuyu sighed dramatically, holding her phone out shyly, "I know! But I can't be too sure so I figured it would be a good idea to have your number." Sana stared at Tzuyu's phone in her outstretched hand sceptically for what feels like eternity before taking it, albeit hesitantly, and punched in her phone number. Tzuyu broke out in celebratory dance in her head as she watched Sana type in her number. Tzuyu sent her a short message just to make sure it was Sana's number. Step 1 of swaying Sana is a success!
"I expect zero funny business, Ms Chou. Me handing you my personal number is solely for you to contact me about any injuries you obtain, nothing more," Sana clarified, eyeing the growing smile on Tzuyu's face suspiciously. "Wouldn't dream of texting you about anything else other than my injuries, ma'am!" Tzuyu saluted before heading home with a cherry wave directed at Sana.
As soon as Tzuyu was out that door, Sana let out a sharp exhale as she pressed her hand to her chest as she felt her heart go 129 miles per hour, mumbling, "This is not good. Not good at all...what is she doing to me?"
It was a rare occurrence for Sana's heart to race, even more so if her racing heart was caused by an annoyingly cute 170cm tall fighter. Sana willed her heart to slow down by taking deep breaths as she tried to focus on her work. This nonchalant act of hers wouldn't last much longer if Tzuyu continued being this cute.

The next morning, which was a Saturday morning, meant that it was Sana's free day. She woke up only when the sun was high up in the sky and took her own sweet time to wash up before heading towards her balcony to look out at the bustling city beneath her. What she wasn't aware of was the fact that Tzuyu lived directly above her. So when she heard someone call out her name, you could say that she nearly jumped out of shock.
Sana searched around for the source before looking up to find Tzuyu smiling down at her. "Good morning, neighbour. Did you sleep well last night?" Tzuyu exclaimed as she waved down, "I was aware that I lived one floor above you but I didn't realise I was directly above. Must be fate, huh?"
Sana rolled her eyes despite the pink blooming on her cheeks, "Like I said, I'd appreciate it if we kept our private lives separated from work. And no funny business, Ms Chou."
Tzuyu let out a low chuckle as she answered, "I wouldn't be interfering in your work life if I'm talking to you as your neighbour instead of your patient, Sana."
Sana's heart did a 360 degrees flip as her brain registered the way Tzuyu said her name before she mumbled, "You've got a point."
The short silence was broken as Tzuyu's phone rang. "I see you around, unnie. I need to get to the gym for my daily workout now," Tzuyu excused herself as she headed back into her apartment, leaving Sana to her own thoughts.
The moment Tzuyu was out of earshot, Sana instantly let out a loud complain, "Lord, I am not your strongest soldier. You can't just let me have a neighbour with a gorgeous face and probably a well-built body and expect me not to combust!? She has an amazing personality too."
The day went on as per usual with Sana replenishing her sleep debt and cleaning up her apartment. However, towards the evening, Sana's doorbell kept ringing incessantly, driving Sana up the wall.
She pulled herself towards the door to check who could be bothering her at this late hour. She jumped back in shockas the person she never ever wanted to see again stood on the opposite side of the door, smiling towards the camera.
"Oh, babe. Please get back together with me. I promise I won't be controlling anymore."
There stood her ex-boyfriend, Seokmin, who had been the most clingy and controlling person towards Sana during the time they dated.
"I know you're in there, Sana. Please, let's just talk," He cried, tears streaming down his face, making him look like an overgrown child.
Sana took one look at his pathetic face and scowled. She quickly use the extra lock to lock her door before dialling the one person she knew would be able to chase away this clingy ex of hers.
After a few rings, Tzuyu picked up the phone, "What's up, unnie?"
"Tzuyu, are you done with your training yet? I need your help."
"Wow and it was you who told me no funny business, but I'm almost done. Why?"
"My clingy ex is at my door crying his ass out. I need your help," Sana paused before adding, "Please?"
There was a short pause from Tzuyu's end of the line, making Sana think Tzuyu had hung up before the younger woman replied in a tone much more serious than Sana has ever heard her use, "I'll be there in five."
