True to her words, Sana heard the distinct ring of the lift five minutes after the phone call, signalling someone's arrival. The moment her clingy ex stopped his wailing was the moment Sana confirmed that Tzuyu was outside her apartment.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" There came an onslaught of questions Sana's ex directed at Tzuyu which the younger woman dismissed with a slight wave of her hand.

"That's what I should be asking you. What are you doing outside my girlfriend's apartment?" Tzuyu's tone was dripping with venom and her face had hardened into an expression of indifference, her glare being the only indication of her emotions.

Out of all the words Tzuyu had said, Seokmin zeroed in on the emphasised word which caused him to erupt in tears, wailing and bawling his eyes out as he knocked on Sana's door, demanding an explanation. Sana rolled her eyes at Tzuyu's choice of words but let it slide because right now, all she wanted was for Seokmin to leave.

"Sana! Is what she said true? After all this time I spent trying to get a second chance from you, you moved on?! You heartless bitch!" Seokmin was now curled up in a ball in front of Sana's apartment now. Taking a huge breath to ground herself, Sana opened her front door which immediately caused Seokmin to pick himself off the floor. Tzuyu instantly put herself in the space between Sana and her clingy ex, separating them while surprising Sana at the same time.

"You will stay where you are when speaking to Sana or I'll make you stay put," Tzuyu warned, straightening to her full height. Sana peeked over Tzuyu's shoulder to look at Seokmin who looked utterly pathetic with tear streaks running down his usually handsome face, eyes brimming with unshed tears.

Seokmin had uttered her name in a broken whisper, eyes pleading for a chance to speak but Sana knew too well what came afterwards. Seokmin had always preferred violence over communication, even when they were in a relationship a few years back.

"Sana...please. A chance to speak is all I'm asking for," Seokmin murmured as his bloodshot eyes stared straight at Sana, unwavering. A slight chill ran down Sana's spine and an uneasy feeling settled in her chest. Tzuyu, sensing the sudden change in tension, took on a defensive stance. "I already told you, Seokmin. I've lost feelings. I've moved on. How much clearer do you want me to lay it out for you?" Exasperation was evident in Sana's voice and weariness settled on her face.

"Just accept the fact that I don't like you anymore and never will I ever give you another chance," Sana sighed. All it took was a second before the desperate act disappeared, with something much more sinister replacing it.

"I've given you countless of times to rethink your decision and let me back in, but if you're so set on rejecting me, then I'll have to force my way through." His eyes gleamed with fury, steering an unsettling feeling in Tzuyu who was now stepping closer towards Sana.

"Alright, I don't like the look on your face. Back up. The lady said no so take a hint and get lost," Tzuyu reiterated, gesturing towards the lift.

Seokmin stared Tzuyu down as he took a step closer. Without warning, Seokmin threw a punch right across Tzuyu's face, making the latter stagger backwards. Taking a few deep breathes, Tzuyu quickly regained her bearings and struck a series of punches towards Seokmin, two to his stomach and one uppercut to his jaw. Not letting the man catch himself, Tzuyu swung her leg straight at his crotch, causing him to kneel helplessly on the floor as he clutched his jewels.

"Let's not make this any worse than it is. Get lost," Tzuyu spat, holding onto her jaw. Seokmin glared at her before looking over at Sana as a wicked grin surfaced, "This isn't over, Sana. I'll be back and next time, I'll make sure she isn't here to protect you."

Tzuyu saw red and swung her gym bag right into his face, an audible crack resounding along the corridor along with Seokmin's screech. He held onto his bleeding nose and headed towards the the lift. Tzuyu waited until that man disappeared from her sight and turned to check on Sana, only to see the older woman staying rooted to the floor, staring at the place where Seokmin was sitting after Tzuyu kicked him.

"Hey, unnie. Sorry you had to see that. Are you feeling alright?" Concern shined in Tzuyu's eyes as she scanned Sana's face. Sana let out a shaky exhale, "Just a tad bit shocked and scared. It's alright I'll get over it. And thank you so much for protecting me. I don't know what would've become of me if you weren't there."

"Unnie, I think it's better if you stay over at my apartment for a bit because this ex of yours doesn't seem like the relenting type. It's safer too," Tzuyu suggested as she recalled the crazy gleam in Seokmin's eyes just minutes before. Sana pondered over the pros and cons but gave in in the end due to the fear of Seokmin returning. Tzuyu offered a reassuring smile as she urged Sana to go and pack up her essentials. It didn't take long before Sana reappeared with a duffel bag similar to Tzuyu's and a Corocorokuririn plushie in her arms.

With a teasing grin, Tzuyu chuckled as she pointed at the plushie in Sana's arms, "Didn't think an uptight doctor like you hugged plushies to sleep. Sana scoffed but the heat rising to her face betrayed her as she locked her house up. "Don't act like you don't sleep with plushies," Sana retorted.

"I never said I didn't. You made an assumption so that's on you," Tzuyu laughed, guiding the both of them to the lift.

Sana rolled her eyes with no real heat, "You're insufferable."

"Just for you," Tzuyu winked, holding the door open for Sana and pressing the button for the twelfth floor. A comfortable silence washed over the duo which was only broken by Sana after they stepped out of the lift.

"I'll help check you jaw later. There's a nasty bruise forming there."

Tzuyu shrugged, "It's nothing compared to the damage I did to him. Besides, I've endured worse before. He doesn't exactly know how to punch so it's not too bad." Sana shook her head, determined to treat Tzuyu's wound, "But you're still hurt! And it's my fault you're hurt."

"Just say you want to act like a caring girlfriend towards me and fuss over my wounds," Tzuyu drawled, that mischievous grin of hers popping up. "You're insane," Sana sighed, walking into Tzuyu's apartment as the younger woman locked the door behind her.

"Will you give my wound a tiny kiss to heal faster?" Tzuyu teased, showing Sana to her room.

"That's it. I'm not going to help you anym-" Before Sana could even shut the door, Tzuyu's hand darted out to grab Sana's wrist as she chuckled, "I was only joking, unnie. Please check my wounds lest I die of pain."

Rolling her eyes for the nth time of the day, Sana couldn't help the slight tug upwards at the corner of her lips. At that very action, Tzuyu's eyes grew comically wide and grinned from ear to ear as she exclaimed, "That was the first smile you directed at me, albeit small, and that means I'm important one way or another to you!" Sana quickly slapped a hand over her mouth but alas, it was too late. Tzuyu had already seen the tiny smile and was jumping for joy.

"We'll meet at my living room so you can check my wound after we freshen up!" Tzuyu said before bouncing back to her bedroom, leaving Sana to her own devices. Sana could still hear the little whoops Tzuyu was making before another door clicked shut. Sana shook her head fondly at the antics of that very fighter who looked intimidating mere minutes ago.

"What are you doing to me, Tzuyu?"
