Chapter 19 - Shopping and the Good Ol'days

I was sitting in the car and we pulled in to the car park, it was silent but not an awkward silence, nice. Me and Ailish seemed to get on ever so well, she seemed really nice down to earth not see one who would judge with out meeting, properly where dan gets it from then I thought as we parked. We got out and walked tot he lifts, the doors penned and we got in. You look really nice today, she said, oh thanks so do you I said blushing a bit. I was only wearing black disco pants with net like strips down the sides, and a baggy, whit jumper with a black piece sign n it, with nude lips and black eyes. We started walking about going in almost every shop, wow she had such a good taste in clothes. Wow Ailish you have such a good taste, I said quite shocked, oh thanks she said slightly giggling, I can see where Danny gets s good taste from, I said smiling and holding a dress up against me, hahah really? What you mean Daniel with a good taste! She said laughing and showing me a top that was so like me, yeah I said laughing like for my birthday he got me a stunning dress, shoes and jacket,and he always wears really nice stuff, I said holding the t she passed me up against myself. We paid for a few things before heading out. If was now half two so we decided to get a sandwich and coffee firm Starbucks we went in ordered and sat down n a booth in the corner, I decided to text dan to remind him to book a table, I know what he's like,

After ten minutes he texted back,

Hey baby glad to all going well, I've just booked the table meet at the hawk land, ma all know where it is around 630-7 ish ok see you then love ya dan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We were talking about how when Danny was a little boy he always used to just lock himself in his room and play either his guitar, keyboard or sing, I found this really cute...

My phone started ringing, I had changed my ring tone to no words the song Danny had made for me, I didn't notic till Ailish pointed it out, jess is your phone ringing??? She asked pointing to my bag, oh oh yeah I wondered how I could hear that song when I'm the only one with a copy of it, I said giggling and answering my phone..

Well it doesn't really matter what you thought does it! I intuited her, anyway got to go I'm busy shopping with Ailish, bye and with that, I hung up,

I slammed my phone on the table grrrrrrrrrr I said taking a sip of my coffee, you ok jess??? Ailish said giving me a kinda you can talk to me smile, not really I said looking down and shaking my head, what's up she said giving me a warming smile, it's my mum, I said oh ok what's happened then she said, well when I told her about the wedding she didn't really um um ur approve, and she doesn't I don't know I don't think she can understand how much I love Danny and that I want to spend the rest of my life with him, cause he the best thing that's ever happened to me, I said, well then make her see make her understand, she said picking up my hand, I can't sh won't listen, I wiped a tear from my eye, it's ok jess, she will come round, mums always do it just going to be hard on her seeing her little baby girl grow up, yeah I suppose, but if she can't take this news then what's she going to be like when I tell her about the baby... Cause it wasn't like she just didn't approve we had a big argument and everything, I just don't see how it's going work... I said trying not to cry, it's ok jess trust me I went through a patch like this with my youngest daughter and my eldest it will work you just got to try, she said smiling, I spose I said giving her a faint smile back. Right I know what you need some relaxing time in the salon yeah??? Um yeah ok I replied as we got up and walked out, right follow me I know a girl who works here and she will do us a good deal...

My phone buzzed I picked it up and saw I had a texted from jess,

I was so glad they were getting on, it meant so much to me, if they didn't get on then I don't know what I would have done, I'm such a mummy's boy... I didn't realise i was smiling so much, I think he talking to jess mark said, yeah she's the only one to ever make dan smile like that, they laughed, oi come on haven't got that long before I got to get ready for later, I said putting my phone down and trying no to laugh, they stared at me and it wasn't long before we were all just laughing, it felt nice to be laying properly with them, it had been awhile! We laughed about and spent the next 3 hours or so jamming about, then left and I cleared up the beer bottles and munches, before getting showered. I got out and wrapped a towel round my waist, and started to shave, once I was done I dried myself and put on a white shirt and black skinny jeans, I then did my hair in to a slightly messy quiff just how jess likes it, my eyes were aching so I put my glasses on and put some aftershave on before grabbing my phone keys and wallet, I ordered a cab and waited it arrived and I got in and we drove to the restaurant, I got out and paid the driver and walked in I arrived a bit early and went in found the table I had requested a table in the corner, as I had seen a few press about, I sat down and ordered a white wine for ma and jess a coke and me a lemonade, I didn't really want jess to feel left out and I didn't want to really drink before we flew. Just as the drinks arrived the best girls ever walked over. Hy babe jess said sitting down and kissing me, hey Daniel, hey babe, hey ma I said giving ma a kiss. You both look amazing! I said smiling, thanks jess said yeah jess was stressed so we went and got pampered at the salon, ma said siping her wine, whoooo fancy I said, they laughed and we looked through the menu, we decided and ordered, we were talking about how well they got on today, jess was smiling, her smile was bigger than ever, it was nice to see her happy I hadn't seen her this happy since, since I don't know when...

Food arrived we ate up, we chatted for ages, Jess's phone kept going off and she kept checking it, she seemed distressed from it, she went to the toilets. Ma was jess ok today??? I ask trying to figure up what was going on now... Um yeah she was ok and really bubbly but then she spoke to her ma and got a it stressed and that's when we decided to go to the salon, then she cheered back up, she said sipping her wine again, oh ok I think that's properly what's up then, I said looking over to her walking back, our deserts came and we ate up, before finishing our drinks, and paying the bill, I drove us back to ma's and we got our stuff said good bye, bye Daniel, bye ma ill come and see you again soon I said tears filling my, it's ok dan ill see you soon, she kissed me and hugged me so tight I hated saying good be to her and her having to be by herself, ma and jess said good bye while I out our stuff in the cab, come on we'll be late, I sad walking got the door and picking up Jess's hand, bye then I gave her one last hug and we walked and got into the cab and he drove us to the airport...

When we arrived I checked our bags in and we didn't have to wait long before we boarded, it wasn't long before jess was asleep, when we landed I gently woke her up still half asleep we collected our bags and found our car before, driving home, jess fell back to sleep, I took the bags in then came back for her, I carried her in and laid her in the bed I got undressed and joined her, and it wasn't long before I joined her...
