"Well hot damn. You look like a true queen, babe." Adam said, lunging across his bed, arms behind his head. "And I thought I'd hidden that puppy away good."

"I'll always find it," I said, sliding the heavy gold and diamond crown further back on my head so that it didn't slip off. My hair fell in loose curls from the braid I'd slept in the night before and I was wearing a short black dress brushing my thighs and that hugged my curves.

Adam raised an eyebrow. "And red lipstick. What's the occasion?"

I pouted and walked over to him, adding an extra little swing in my hips. Adam's eyes skimmed over me just like I knew they would. "It's our last night together, thought I would make it special."

Adam's eyes darkened at the reminder but I quickly regained his attention by hopping onto the bed.

"I love you." I whispered.

Adam sighed and leaned forward, snagging the crown from my head. He breathed on it and polished it with his sleeve then replaced it on my head, carefully brushing back my hair.

"I love you, too. Are you sure you can't come?"

"I can't. I think if I miss any more school I won't pass."

He kissed my lips, leaning deep into it and putting a hand on the back of my neck.

"Four months..."

"Shh," He murmured into my mouth and pulled me into his lap. I took his shirt off over his head and tossed it aside.

"You know something?"

"Mm?"

He smiled. "You look so damn sexy in that crown. You were born to wear it."

I smirked and leaned back, sitting on my knees. "Obviously."

Adam laughed. "C'mere, gorgeous. I am but your humble servant."

I chuckled darkly. "Then prepare to be ruled."

It had been a while since I'd cried this hard. Saying goodbye to Adam was like taking a knife to the gut, hugging him one last time and watching him board the red and gold jet that had a huge Q+A.L on the side. At the top of the stairs Adam turned and gave me one last wave, which I returned with a heavy hart.

"I love you..." I whispered.

Adam was in the heart of touring, currently in Germany, hundreds of miles away from me.

And here I was; alone in this big house with nothing but a mountain of homework and some money Adam deposited whenever he could. I told him to only give me enough for expenses, otherwise I'd be on a shopping spree 24/7, but he always put an extra $1000 or so in there for me to play with.

It had been a month since I'd last seen Adam, and the loneliness was destroying me, even when I hung out with people from school, Paris, or my sister. My life was suddenly terribly boring. Adam and I texted and called as often as we could, and Skyped at least twice a week. The sound of his voice calmed me drastically, but it wasn't the same as having him right here.

I had started sleeping in his bed more often, wrapping myself in his comforting scent every night and imagining that he was right with me. But soon, my own scent began to mask his and it started to fade away.

But one day in the mail I received a small brown box addressed from Munich, under Adam's name. I ripped it open and found two T-shirts, his favorite black Queen shirt and a red, faded one that said Germany on it. I held them both up to my nose and inhaled deeply, shutting my eyes and picturing Adam wearing these shirts until his cologne set in. But it wasn't just his cologne, it was his own, natural musk that was a sharp, sweet smell of sweat and a mix of his body wash and shampoo.

In the bottom of the box was a black envelope with a red heart inked in on the front. I snatched it up and carefully opened the flap to find a letter written in Adam's hand.

Nix,

I thought I'd send you these because I know you always liked my Queen shirt. The red one is from this cool little clothing store on the Main Street in Berlin near my hotel I stayed in. I don't know where exactly I'll be when you get this, but currently I'm in Munich, as I'm sure you saw on the box.

I miss you so much, my little spark, and I can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving. You're always on my mind, every second of every day, at every show, and during every lonely night.

Only two more months, Nixxy, and I'll be home for a while.

I love you so, so much.

~Adam

I clutched the letter to my chest and burst into tears, crumpling into a dining room chair and just letting it all out. Soon, I couldn't cry any more, so I stripped off my shirt and slipped into the Queen shirt, wrapping my arms around myself.

Oh, Adam. Please come home already...

(Heyo readers! Sorry this is short! I'm sick right now (wheee) and I've been working on my other book for the past couple of days, making sure I know what needs to be done in time for NaNoWriMo in November. Luckily, I have someone alpha reading it for me :) (And yes an alpha read is different from a beta read, I didn't get them mixed up xP)

And on that note, a bit of a semi-sad update: B.G will almost certainly be finish by next month (Can you believe how fast September went??) but the chances of me being able to really work on White Gold consistently will probably be next to nothing in November :( I will do my best, though! But maybe taking a little break from the series will give me some new perspective. Don't get me wrong; the entire thing is planned out from start to finish, but it will be finding the time to do so that will be hard :/

But anyway, that's a ways off!

Hopefully I will a double update today, but I won't promise anything lol

Thanks for 9k reads!! CRAZY!
