"NICOMAINE DEI CAPILI MENDOZA! What is this all about? And what are you wearing????!!! " Mr. Mendoza said, his voice booming with shocked.

"Wait... What???!!!" The Faulkerson were both surprised...

"Hello, Tatay!" She greeted her dad coolly, as if she hadn't shocked her father.  Nagmano pa siya sa ama. 

"Nicomaine, explain yourself right now! You know I don't beat around the bush!" Tatay was rearing his temper.  He is waiting for his daughter's sound reasoning for this.

"I will tell you later, Tatay! But first we need to get this over and done with!" And she face the Faulkersons.

"Hello! I am Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza, needless to say, Mr. Mendoza's youngest daughter.  So do you plan to continue this craziness?" Maine smirked.

"Young lady, you have been working under my nose all this time.  A Mendoza, why didn't I saw that before?" Mr. Faulkerson said.  His face, wearing a disgusted look.

"I was wondering what is all about the drama of the Faulkerson, Sr, when he know exactly that I am that "Mendoza"?  But I could work around that argument with Tatay for this engagement to fail... Hahaha... One point goes to me... Hahaha!" Maine said inwardly...

"The engagement is off, we will think of another way to deal with this!" Mr. Faulkerson Senior said. 

"Nice one, Maine! You are doing good.  He will no longer allow this craziness to continue! Hahaha... At the end of the day, I still won! The engagement is off! Hurray for me for a job --!" Maine said, celebrating for her triumph.

"No, I want this engagement! I will be cooperative on this one... Hello, fiancée!" Richard Jr, said and took her hand and kissed it in front of the elderly.

"What the -- ?" Maine was about to curse.

"Don't let that mouth curse in front of us or you will be punished accordingly!" Richard Junior threatened her.

"No, this is all insane! I am trying to plan on escaping this nonsense for the benefit of the two of us...!" Maine suddenly blurted out, clamping her mouth shut as she realized her mistake.

"Babe, I am so looking forward for this engagement, what made you think I don't want this?" Richard Junior said with a smirk on his face.

"You don't want this, I don't want this... You abhor a nerd and I hate you to hell and back, what's the point of continuing this ruckus?" Maine is still trying to reason out, eyes bulging and wanted this to end.

"No, babe! This will end only when you accept that we are to wed before this year is up!" Richard Jr retorted coolly.

"I won't have that.  She played me for a fool.  Who would want her for a daughter in law?" Faulkerson Senior said, still surprised on his drama making Maine frown some more...

"Yes, daughter... You have to honor the wish of the elders.  You will be engage to this man!" His father said with finality...

Maine, prepared for the worst, meaning being insulted by an arrogant bastard even an outright rejection from him!  She has been expecting that she will be out of this mess.  She planned it accordingly and then this! This man is really infuriating her.  She cannot contain this feeling anymore and was about to do something drastic, when her phone rang! She heard that special ringtone and she knows something happened.  She immediately run to her desk and picked up the phone.  She answered the phone and...

"No!!!!" She shouted and took her keys, her helmet and took of her eyeglasses. 

"I will deal everything later.  I will need to attend more important than this! See you...!" She said on her cold voice and ran... Tears are forming on her eyes...

Kuya Eric saw her running and toss her keys to her.  Good thing that her motorbike is parked in front of the building expecting an escape earlier.  She inserted her keys and started her motor and was about to drive herself when she was surprised that someone rode at her back...

"What the hell ---?" Maine said and was surprised to see it was the gigolo...

"Drive or I'll kiss you right here!" He threatened.

She don't have any choice and she could no longer afford another delay.  She fired up the motorbike at its fullest...

"Hold on!" Maine said.  The drive only took them roughly fifteen minutes, imagine how lunatic she drove her motorbike - Makati to National Children's Hospital -- amidst the hellish traffic...

She is already crying as she run towards a private room, oblivious of the gigolo at her back...

"Maine!" She was greeted by two nuns...

"Where is my Sam?  Where is my Sam?" She opened the door and the moment she him lying weak on the bed, she cried harder...

"Baby, I am here! Please, please be strong for me baby... Don't leave me yet...!" Maine cried harder while kissing the forehead of the boy...

RICHARD'S POV
To say that he was shocked was downright.  He felt more than that.  All this time, they have been played by a Mendoza.  They are already working at the company under their nose and the worst thing is that she has access to everything in the company.  His dad does not even know it! This little schemer will pay huge!

He is furious right now, so furious that he wants to drag Maine out of the hospital for an explanation!
