She's My What???!! (2)

Maine decided to go to the HQ before the scheduled time.  She first checked leakage of her encounter yesterday.  She decided to stay incognito in the HQ for a while para makapagmanman siya and fortunately, hindi siya nakirinig ng alingasngas tungkol sa pagkakainvolve niya sa encounter kagabi.  She decided then to head at the General's office where she was the first to arrive.  The General told her that the meeting will push through and the report about yesterday was confidential that only him knows her involvement on it.  The three DPA involved in the incident was already on their hide-out where they where treated and debriefed regarding the new development in the case.  They will stay there until the organization will be put to jail.  However, should there be a need for reinforcement with other cases, they will still be assigned to it.  But as of the meantime, safety is their number one priority.  Mahirap na baka mahuli at masira pa ang plano na matagal ng pinag-isipan! She was seating one the sofa, reading the reports when someone barge in the room and was surprised when she saw that it was her boss!!!

"Wait, what??? What is that Faulkerson, son of a Faulkner, doing here?" Maine thought inwardly. 

But before she could react, they were introduced by the general himself.

Flashback..

"Sir, Faulkerson here! Reporting for duty, Sir!" Richard greeted his Ninong right away.
"Carry on! And Lt. Faulkerson, meet Captain Nicomaine Dei Mendoza!!!

"Say what now???!!!" And he turned his back meeting the eyes of Captain Mendoza!

End of flashback...

Good thing that she is highly trained of keeping her emotions, greeted him back with a smirk!

"Lt. Faulkerson, Captain Dei Mendoza, carry on!" She said with a smirk.

"Captain, Lt. Faulkerson here!" He said, poker face, saluting, kabaligtaran ng panic na nararamdaman niya!

"Hmmm, mukhang namutla ang loko!" Maine said inwardly, but returned his salute.

"General, the meeting will start now, everyone is already at the conference room, including the three DPA for further questioning...!" The military secretary said to the General.

"Let's go!" The General told Maine and Richard.

"My God, why does she have to look so hot with that damn white shirt and ripped jeans? And she is my Captain??? Are they fucking kidding me???" Richard thought inwardly, starting to get nervous because he don't want to be bullied inside the conference room.  He was not in the service for quiet sometime, he should be spared from scrutiny right?

Maine, on the other hand, took off Richard from her mind.  She has more important things to deal with before knowing his story... Priorities...

The meeting includes 10 people including the three of them.  They were greeted by a salute and was returned by the General as he was the highest ranked among the three.  When they were all seated, the General introduced Lt. Faulkerson to everybody.

"Guys, siya si Lt. Faulkerson, he is one of the most dependable guy in tactical department, he was relieved from duty for one year as he requested it.  Personal reason, but he us now back and I think he can help with the mission since, just like most of you, he is kinda incognito for now kasi nga kababalik lang niya.  So I want everyone here to welcome him in this team!" The general said.
"Welcome buddy! Hope you have a blast in this team! Oh, well, you have a knack for a captain, its a sure blast!" Lt. Santos said.
Richard, only nods his head..
"Yeah, it will be a blast!" Richard said inwardly...

"Captain, what's happened last night?" The general asked.
"I was summoned here by Sergeant Rosales, their ploy was discovered and two of them was being tortured!" Maine started, nilingon ang dalawang puno ng pasa at sugar sa katawan.  May benda din sa ulo ang isa, pistol whipped..
"Okay lang ba kayo? Pasensiya na kung kailangan ko kayong ipatawag...!" Sabi ni Mendoza kasabay ng paghingi ng dispensa sa mga ito. 
"Were you able to nitpick info that is something worth our brain?" Maine asked.
"They were silent the whole time, only those three are with us during our ordeal, aside from saying "malupit din ang spy natin, akalain mo, kuha agad tong dalawang to!" Exact words, Captain.  Medyo naguluhan lang po kami when they told na bahala na sa amin ang tangkay, ang puno ang bahala sa bunga!" The sergeant added. 
And then after nung huling pistol whipped, we were at the hospital and we were safe!" He said.
"I gunned down 12 yesternight and I was informed that the incident is still investigated as of this time.  But upon snooping around, no report was found on the place.  Meaning, somebody tampered the evidences. As of this moment, the encounter yesterday did not exist!" Mendoza said.
"We have to be very careful team, they already know that they were being snooped around! We don't need another casualty in this team!" Captain Mendoza said. 
"Yes, Captain!" All agreed.
"We will stop this for for the mean time, I mean, I will take you all back, hindi na mahirap sa inyong tatlo yun since alam nila na mga pakawala kayo... Ikaw Santos, paano?" Mendoza said.
"Ako na bahala, Captain!" Lt. Santos said.
Mendoza nods and dismiss the meeting.  She told the three men to go back to the hide-out and wag umalis doon.  They all agreed, good thing, sa bilis ng reaction ng team, they were able to hide their family in a safe place.

They all went outside, the General called back Mendoza.  They went inside the office kasama si Faulkerson.

"Spill, Mendoza!" The general said.
"Fuck*** asshole! I have a traitor in my group! Why I did see that?" Mendoza cursed.
"How do you said so?" The general asked.

"I have a gut feeling that yester night is not a coincidence!" Mendoza said.

"Ummm, so meaning it was all setup?" The general said.
"I think so.  It was a setup for a trapped apparently I was timed.  The moment I am done, I saw cars coming and they knocked on the gate.  When no one answered, probably they know the answer and they went away.  No traces...!" Mendoza said. 

She silently scrutinized every faces in the room earlier, but she is very careful.  Mayroong traydor sa kuwartong ito! Sabi ni Maine sa isipan. 

"I don't have any idea as to how they know that the party will be held in Bulacan.  It was announced over the papers but there was no details in it pointing Bulacan for the venue and yet they were able to track me!" Mendoza said.
"If that's the case, what would you do?" The general said.
"I need another team and this time, I will make sure that their loyalty will be unquestionable!" Mendoza said, a glint of pain on her eyes together with pure hatred.
"Bakit nga ba hindi ka nagpalit pagkatapos ng nangyari?" The general asked.
"Kasi akala ko talaga, nahuli lang kami kaya nagkaganun, hindi ko talaga inisip na somebody is really trailing us that time! Good thing, nagkamali sila ng pain kaya nakilala ko siya!" Mendoza said, angry...

"Include Lt. Faulkerson in your team, alam ko marami matutunan ang bata ko sa pagsama sa team mo!" The general said.
"Ninong, I have case na binigay mo sa akin, paano yun?" Richard asked his ninong, kinakabahan!
"No, its okay, I have other members to fill in your position.  Isa pa same lang kayo ng grupo kasi sa totoo lang, same kayo ng grupo tinatrabaho.  Ang RDG, although Richard was asked to focus sa mga couriers and users, while Mendoza targeting the " big" fish!" The general said.
"Pero --, !" Maine was about to protest but was stopped by the general.
"No can do, no words from you, Captain! I so ordered!" The general said with finality...
