Richard's phone rang and he answered. Maine, on the other hand decided to continue fixing the bed, since naiirita na talaga siya sa magulong kama!

"Hello!" He immediately answered the phone as she spied it's Rizza. He asked Riza a favor to get them dinner since they asked their house help to bring things at the hospital for his father.
"Kuya, I will get food na lang sa Concha's ha? Naipit din ako sa oras at iyon lang ang malapit na madadaanan ko...!" Riza said.
"OK, but please hurry baka gutom na si Maine..!" Richard said.
"Uyy, bakit Kuya, gising na ba ang lady love mo?" Riza teased her.
"Oo, gising na siya!" Richard retorted, kinikilig.

"Can I use your bathroom?" Maine asked.
"Definitely! Why you need to ask?" Richard said.
"Coz this is your lair and I am an intruder! Hello??" She spat back, annoyed.
"Hey, kung Hindi pa clear sa iyo, what's mine is yours, young lady... You are my end game whatever happens!" Richard retorted back, somewhat annoyed! And leave the room to give her the privacy she needed.
"Tsk! Hindi pa din ba malinaw sa kanya na akin siya at kung ano ang akin, kanya na din??? Minsan talaga, slow din tong mahal ko e!" Richard said inwardly!
"Hala, ano daw? Ang kanya akin din??? E di akin din ang biceps niya, plus yung katawan niya na medyo chubby at yung... Ayyy! Ang halay mo, Menggay! What's is happening??? Pero in fairness, ang yummy ni Papa!" Maine said, a giddy smile plastering on her face, as she enters his bathroom.

That same moment, Rizza is not aware of the car tailing her. She's got the food and is now heading on their house. At dahil sanay silang Hindi nag-uutos, bumaba ang dalaga sa sasakyan upang buksan ang gate, nang mapalingon ito sa kotseng huminto sa kabilang side ng kalsada. Mukhang Hindi inaasahan ang kanyang paglingon sa direksiyon nila, nataranta ito at naglabas ng baril, dahilan upang mataranta ang dalaga. Nagpaputok ang gunman sa direksiyon niya, mabuti at mabilis na nakayuko ang dalaga!

"Shit, putok ng baril yun a!" Maine said upon hearing the gunshot. She immediately went out and turn towards the balcony on Richard's room and saw that Rizza is cowering on the side of the car while the gunman walk towards her.
"Hoy!" She shouted on top her lungs at katulad ng kanyang inaasahan, the gunman fired at her while walking back to their car to fled. She made sure na maiiwasan niya ang bala and at the same time, to check kung safe na si Rizza. After making sure na nakaalis na ang mga kalaban, she run to get Rizza! Nagulat pa si Richard ng makitang tumatakbo si Maine pababa ng hagdan.
"Faulkerson, bilisan mo, kunin natin si Rizza!" Maine shouted at him, and run fast towards the main door and to the gate.
"What??? What happened?" Richard asked as he followed her. As he reached them, Maine is already hugging Rizza, while she scanned the area! Rizza is sobbing.
"Shhh, you are safe now, sorry kung medyo nahuli ako ha? Shhhh... I promise to keep you safe, all of you!" Maine said while pacifying the crying lady. Nakahinga siya kahit papaano nang masigurong wala ng kalaban.

Richard on the other hand was shocked and puzzled as to what happened, saw some bullet shell sa kalsada, patunay na nagkabarilan. He was not aware of it kasi nasa parteng likuran ang kusina preparing the dinner table. Upon realizing what happened, nainis siya sa sarili niya at the same time grateful dahil Kay Maine. She saved her sister!

"Richard, contact the general, we need to regroup and finish this once and for all, madami na ang nadadamay!" Tiim bagang na sabi ni Maine habang yakap pa rin ang umiiyak na si Rizza! She, on the other hand, told everyone on the house, na magbakasyon muna! And since alam na nilang lahat ang nangyari, nag-impake na silang lahat at pinauna ng umalis. Tatlo na lamang silang natira while waiting for the response team. Rizza is already calm and she was eyeing Maine and can't help but wonder how that petite, pretty lady ended up as an agent!
"Umm, Maine how old are you?" Rizza asked out of nowhere.
Maine, thinking that Rizza is trying to calm herself by talking answered.
"23, and you?" Maine asked, trying to engage herself on the conversation despite the seriousness of the situation. Richard looked on.
"Same age... Mind if I asked what prompted you to become an agent?" Rizza asked, Richard upon hearing the question, caught his full attention.
"I got into this because of my parents and partly my interest as well...!" Maine said, contemplating on what she was going to say.
"I don't understand, you got a helluva of parents, that's for sure!" Richard butted in, trying to coax her to explain further.
"Let's just say that I am seeking attention from them.  I really thought back then that they were never aware of my achievements and feat, I thought they were never there during my recitals and graduations, I thought during that time na I came up short on their expectations being a Mendoza...!" Maine said.
"And when was the time you decided to become an agent?" Rizza asked.
"I want a different kind of challenge, yung Hindi ko karaniwang ginagawa and that's what came in my mind!" Maine said.
"And then?" Rizza wanted Maine to continue..
"Huh? Training for two years, cases here and there, from small cases like pickpocketing up to large scale drug syndicate... And that's where I met my best friend...!" Maine said, sadness evident on her eyes.
"Who is she/he?" Rizza asked.
"The reason I accepted a drug case here in the Philippines...!".
